Do you thrive in multi-disciplinary settings where psychological skills are highly valued?</p> <p>Working in a very friendly and dynamic CAMHS Service, we have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist based mainly in ourChesterfield Core CAMHS Base following the successful CAMHS Service submission for funding - we have a focused investment from the ICB (integrated Care Board) into routine CAMHS specifically for Reducing CAMHS waiting times as part of a Service Development Improvement Plan 2025 -2027. We are happy to consider flexible options. There are opportunities for indirect working (e.g. consultation, supporting formulation skills development).</p> <p>Our Service has 10 teams with excellent track records working closely together, with opportunities for gaining different experiences to develop your portfolio. Our internal training programme for staff is positively-rated and clinical supervision practice is highly valued. We value the diversity of our clinicians, and the skill sets they bring.</p> <p>Whilst this is an 8a post we are very happy to receive applications from soon to be or newly qualified Clinical Psychologists in a preceptorship role (with a structured development plan to progress with regular support). We have well established links with the training courses and regularly have trainees on placement.</p> <p>This post is funded for 0.6wte 3 days - there may be options to consider combinations with other posts.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Clinical Psychologist in Core CAMHS you will:</p> <ul>  <li> Provide specialist psychological/therapy-based assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties</li>  <li> Provide a pivotal lead role in reducing waiting lists ('Referral to Treatment' (RTT) times) for Routine Core through indirect consultation and formulation skills offers to Core Mental Health Practitioners and providing direct joint-clinical work at referral, initial assessment and therapeutic intervention stages, where appropriate.</li>  <li> Be client-centred and a goal-focused member of our multi-disciplinary service, championing ROMs and contributing to service developments, as appropriate.</li>  <li> Empower and support young people on their journey to recovery</li>  <li> Offer clinical advice and support, consultations, supervision and training for professionals in our CAMHS Service.</li>  <li> Be an active member of an experienced multi-disciplinary service and contribute to team and service developments.</li>  <li> Contribute to case discussions and a 'careteam' approach to formulation.</li> </ul>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We have an exciting opportunity for<strong>two</strong> full time, permanent, band 7 clinical or counselling psychologists to join Barts Heart and Thorax Centre Psychological Services based at St Bartholomew's Hospital.</p> <p>The successful applicant will join a friendly and supportive group of psychological professionals at St Bartholomew's Hospital including practitioner psychologists and an art therapist. You will be able to access funded CPD and receive specialist group supervision (e.g. ACT, CFT, Narrative therapy and EMDR) alongside individual supervision.</p> <p>We operate within a mixed model, i.e. embedded within medical teams with centralised referral allocation and discussion so that workload can be shared evenly between clinicians and allocated according to skill mix and case complexity. The band 7 postholder will pick up referrals from specialist teams across the Barts Heart Centre and will work closely with the clinical pathway leads as well as the consultant service lead, allowing for a good balance of autonomy and support in line with their stage in career development. These posts are varied and exciting roles with lots of opportunity for service development and research as well as providing specialist psychological input through direct work (with inpatients and outpatients) and indirect work through consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.</p>

  <p>Barts Heart and Thorax Centre (BHTC) Psychological Services is for with adult patients and their families who live with an acute or chronic cardiac or respiratory condition and those who require a critical care admission (predominantly cardio-thoracic and cancer related). </p> <p>Specifically these patients are under the care of specialist multidisciplinary teams within the Barts Heart and Thorax Centre, including the Congenital Cardiology Service, the Heart Attack Centre (HAC); the Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU); Heart Failure, Electrophysiology, and Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions. </p> <p>Although the post holder will not be directly working with the following teams these are also covered by the broader service: Difficult Asthma and Cystic Fibrosis. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p><strong>Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist in Pain Management</strong>   This is an exciting opportunity to join the Enfield Pain Service (EPS) which serves patients who have a long-term pain condition e.g. chronic lower back pain, chronic widespread pain, fibromyalgia. The EPS is staffed by a supportive team of medical, physiotherapy and psychology professionals as we acknowledge that pain impacts a person's life in lots of different ways.   You'll be working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to deliver psychological assessment and intervention (1:1 and group pain management programmes based on CBT/ACT/CFT) for this cohort of patients. You'll also be supporting the wider multidisciplinary team and liaising with relevant external community services e.g. Talking Therapies, MSK services, community mental health teams. As one of the senior clinicians in the service, you'll be managing and supervising other members of the EPS, leading on aspects of service delivery, evaluation and innovation, and taking on managerial duties to ensure the effective running of the service. Previous experience of working in Pain and/or Long-term Health Conditions is essential. Having additional training and experience in EMDR and PTSD would be advantageous.  Working in pain services can be incredibly rewarding, where psychology is highly valued, and you will develop your skills and experiences of working as a senior clinician and manager in a supportive team.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>Provide specialist psychological assessment</li>
<li>Provide specialist 1:1 psychological interventions based on cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance &amp; commitment therapy and/or compassion focused therapy. </li>
<li>Provide clinical supervision and line management to staff.</li>
<li>Co-facilitate group pain management programmes (PMP's) and contribute to the development of PMP's</li>
<li>Contribute to the collection and analysis of outcome data of both individual and group interventions</li>
<li>Contribute to the management, delivery and performance of the service.</li>
<li>Offer advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the services' policies and procedures</li>
<li>Utilise research skills for audit and research purposes as required.</li>
