  <p>We're seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a, 1.0 WTE) to help shape and deliver psychologically-informed care in our 24/7 recovery house service--a short-stay alternative to hospital admission for adults experiencing acute mental health distress.Working flexibly within a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide trauma-informed assessments, brief interventions, and psychological leadership in a recovery-focused, inclusive environment that centres lived experience and cultural safety.</p> <p>Recovery House (RH)is a new and innovative service we are launching that meets an important need for people(18+)experiencing poor mental health. The RH will provide those in crisis with a safe, secure and welcoming environment to support the de-escalation of crisis. The House will be open to new and existing BSMHFT service users and will provide a homely environment, allowing people to retain independence, whilst receiving person centred and appropriate care.</p> <p>The service which is part of the Trust's Urgent Care pathway is a partnership with Birmingham Mind and builds on the range of strong collaborations we have with the voluntary sector.</p> <p>The RH will serve as a base for community integration, allowing service users to connect with local communities and provision, as well as their family/carers.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Tasks include:</p> <p>o Provide psychological formulations and short-term interventions (CBT, trauma-informed approaches)</p> <p>o Supervise and develop a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner, colleagues in the team and support workers</p> <p>o Support the team in crisis planning, reflective practice, and risk formulation</p> <p>o Embed culturally responsive and trauma-informed care across the service</p> <p>o Liaise with NHS and community services to support safe transitions</p> <p>You will also input one day a week into our Home Treatment service. You will be professionally accountable to the Principal Psychologist Lead for Home Treatment and line managed by the Recovery House's Team Manager.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic senior psychotherapist/ psychologist to join our inpatient team.</p> <p>We are redeveloping our female wards, and this is an opportunity to develop new trauma informed pathways and influence the culture of care on the wards through training and consultation.</p> <p>This is an 8a vacancy, however, we welcome applications from psychologists at B7 seeking progression.</p> <p>You will be joining a supportive team of psychologists, therapist and CAPS working across a variety of acute services.</p> <p>We are involved in the Culture of Care programme, NHS England's Quality Transformation aimed at developing safe, compassionate, culturally competent wards. We are committed to reducing restrictive practice. You will take a key role in supporting and implementing these developments, with opportunities to be innovative and influential and will develop your formulation and consultation skills in addition to direct clinical work. Our team promotes practice-based research in acute settings. We have an established inpatient research plan and collaborate with the University of Sheffield.   <p>To provide a high-quality, specialist clinical psychology service to older adults admitted to the inpatient mental health ward. The postholder will deliver psychological assessment, formulation, interventions and group therapy for individuals experiencing complex mental health difficulties, cognitive decline, and/or dementia-related conditions. There are six specialist services on the Brooklands Hospital site, providing inpatient assessment and treatment services to adults (men and women) and young people with an Intellectual Disability. This includes both secure and non-secure services. </p> <p>Your role will be to provide support to the qualified Clinical team in delivering a high quality psychology service within some of the inpatient services, working in a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with young people and adults with complex needs and who can display a range of behavioural challenge. These are busy professional roles in which energy, initiative and reflective practice are vital.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder would be joining a dynamic team with a range of clinical interests and expertise in a variety of therapeutic models including DBT, Compassion Focussed, EMDR and Narrative approaches.</p> <p>Positive Behavioural Support is a major part of our treatment philosophy and the service ethos is to ensure that effective, evidence based interventions are provided to people who can present considerable risk, to ensure that they can return to a less restrictive environment in the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>All members of the team receive excellent support, good quality supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development. There are good links with psychological services staff across the Trust, developing Special Interest Groups across speciality and an annual conference. The Psychological services team also has strong links with local clinical and forensic training courses, and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical and forensic psychologists, supervision for DClinPsy and DForPsy research, and teaching on the courses.</p> <p>Candidates with experience of working within a range of clinical settings including CAMHS, Forensic, Mental Health, Social Care and Learning Disabilities are welcomed. a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist at our forensic mental health hospital, Heatherwood
Court. Comprising of a Locked Rehabilitation Service (1 female ward) and a Low
Secure Service (1 male and 2 female wards), Heatherwood Court treats patients with
complex needs, including severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma,
and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. </p><p>We are looking for applicants with
experience of working with service users with complex needs and risk behaviours
along with those who have an interest and prior experience of delivering
evidenced-based interventions for people with personality disorder and/or
complex mental health problems. We are particularly interested in candidates
who have received DBT training, but would offer training to suitable candidates
on appointment.</p><p>This post will join an established, dynamic
team of psychologists including a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, , Forensic Psychologist and
Assistant Psychologists, working as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary
team. The team are also supported by Positive Practice Workers, graduate
psychologists in blended role combining both support worker shifts and clinical
days with the teams. There are also regular opportunities to network with the
wider Iris Care Group qualified psychologists within Departmental Meetings and Psychology

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Psychologist, to lead the Long-Term Conditions part of Paediatric Psychological Support Service based at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital.</p> <p>The post-holder will be part of a small team of psychologists working with children diagnosed with a range of long-term medical conditions (e.g. inflammatory bowel diseases, juvenile arthritis, epilepsy) living in Brighton and Hove. This role includes close collaboration with another 8a psychologist who leads on working with children with long-term conditions living outside of Brighton and Hove.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Long-Term Conditions Service offer short-term therapy, as well as consultation and training to support the needs of children diagnosed with long-term medical conditions. as a service, we draw on a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, systemic, mindfulness, ACT and EMDR. The focus of this role would be to oversee the incoming referrals to the service and responses to these, including holding a clinical caseload and supervising the clinical work of a band 7 psychologist (and at times a trainee clinical psychologist). This role would suit a flexible and dynamic practitioner who is able to develop treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of children, young people and their families, which might include individual, parent-child, parent or group work, as well as close liaison with medical teams and other agencies. There is room for innovation within the service, with previous practitioners offering Tree of Life groups, Woodland Wellbeing days and sea swimming groups to support young people to have a different experience of themselves and build their confidence. Opportunities to develop appropriate staff training and group work is also supported where this meets a clinical need.
