  <p>The Durham &amp; Darlington NHS Talking Therapy Service is a joint venture involving TEWV, Mental Health Matters and Sunderland Counselling Service.</p> <p>The teams consist of High Intensity Therapists, PWPs and Counsellors as well as our Employment Team and the opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dedicated High Intensity Worker to join our team to cover maternity leave on a 6 months fixed term contract</p> <p>Are you a qualified High Intensity Therapist (CBT) who wants to be valued and welcomed into a supportive, dynamic and expanding team? Are you passionate about delivering high intensity interventions in line with the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies initiative?</p> <p><strong>You will be an accred</strong><strong>ited CBT therapist and have completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, or recently qualified and be working towards accreditation in order to apply. Anyone without this qualification will not be considered for interview.</strong></p> <p>Our High Intensity Workers benefit from hybrid working, providing face-to-face sessions with patients whilst in base and remote sessions when working from home.   <p>As a High Intensity Therapist you will be working with clients who have a range of anxiety and depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. You will hold a caseload for individual work (face-to-face and remotely delivered), amongst other duties. We welcome applicants who have experience of managing a caseload and who have experience of working within a NHS Talking Therapy Service.</p>
<p>You will be expected to be flexible and provide out of hours clinics as required by service need and demonstrate a willingness to travel. Durham and Darlington NHS Talking Therapy Service currently operates Monday- Friday covering some early morning/early evening working through 1:1 clinics which all staff are expected to offer.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sunderland Talking Therapies to appoint a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The position is for either a qualified PWP who holds a PWP accreditation or a Trainee PWP who is nearing the end of training due to be ratified, and wants to develop their skills and experience within our team. The post is full-time (37.5) however we are open to applications for part-time hours. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p><p>Please be aware we would not shortlist an application if we suspect the use of AI.</p><p>Interviews for this post will be on 8th or 9th December at Monkwearmouth Hospital.</p><p>The successful candidate should: </p><ul><li>Have successfully completed an academic course of study in line with the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and be qualified as a PWP.</li> <li>We are also interested in receiving applications from current Trainee PWPs who are enrolled on a PG Cert in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies and are due to qualify. If you are a current Trainee PWP you would initially be employed at Band 4 and once marks have been ratified by your university examination board, and you have gained PWP registration this would be uplifted to Band 5. </li> <li>Have a current registration with the BABCP or BPS, or be able to immediately apply for this once in post (PWPs will remain at band 4 until registration has been confirmed).</li> </ul>

  <p>In this role you will:</p><ul><li>Undertake triage screening assessments and make onward referrals</li> <li>Provide a range of low intensity interventions e.g. guided self-help (both telephone, online consultation and face-to-face), psycho-educational courses and computerised CBT </li> <li>Have the opportunity to contribute to a number of innovative service improvement projects, champion roles and specialist interest groups</li> <li>Liaise with external agencies and services to promote Sunderland Talking Therapies </li> </ul><ul><li>Have the opportunity to act as a mentor to trainee PWPs </li> <li>Work closely with other PWPs to support one another and utilise skills and knowledge</li> <li>Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and engage in team huddles</li> </ul>

  <p>We welcome applications from staff who are currently coming to the end of their training in Clinical or counselling psychology that on successful completion will achieve the required qualification and registration with HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist. Trainee counselling psychologists are eligible to apply for and to be shortlisted for interview and to be offered qualified posts when they are in their 3rd year of the doctoral training and have the following confirmed as completed by the university. All clinical competencies. b. 80% of the 450 supervised clinical practice hours (360 hours)</p> <p>Trainee clinical psychologists are eligible to apply for and to be shortlisted for interview and to be offered qualified posts when they are in their third year of training, as they will have completed their core clinical competencies by this stage of the course.</p> <p>This vacancy is open to either an experienced Senior Applied Psychologist (Band 8a) or Newly Qualified Applied Psychologist (Band 7) as a development post depending on experience. Successful candidates who are Band 7 will be expected to work towards the competencies of the higher band within an agreed time frame; being regraded to the 8a role upon successful completion.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for a compassionate Applied Clinical Psychologist to join our Darlington Community Team as part of the Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP). The post would suit an enthusiastic Psychologist who values co-creation, collaboration and being embedded within a multi-disciplinary team. There are significant opportunities for innovation, service development and improving access to effective MH care for older people and families living with dementia. Core to the role is the provision of governed therapies, formulations and specialist assessment. The postholder will also provide clinical leadership, helping to improve cultures of care including personalised and purposeful care plans guided by need and best practice. There are significant opportunities to support workforce development through supervision and training, and working towards TEWVs ambition to be a trauma-informed organisation.</p> <p>The post holder will provide specialist assessments, formulation, governed psychological therapies and neuropsychological assessment as well as being part of an active multi-disciplinary team.
