We currently have a Peripatetic Mental Health Practitioner vacancy for an exciting one year&nbsp;LA &nbsp;funded&nbsp;project for delivery of Journey of Hope (JoH) across multiple schools in Wandsworth.
&nbsp;
To apply for this role you must be willing to undertake training in delivering JOH and quality reviewing JOH interventions.
 

This&nbsp;one year project&nbsp;will deliver: JoH groupwork including:
 
- Assessment &amp; Formulation for all children in each group
-&nbsp;&nbsp;6&nbsp; groups&nbsp;per week: one group each morning and each afternoon: Monday-Friday&nbsp;(term time).&nbsp;Sessions:&nbsp;1 hour. Balance of time to be used for admin.
- Delivery method: Face to Face 
 


As a Mental Health Practitioner/Counsellor, your role will focus on&nbsp;providing Journey of Hope (JoH) group work to primary&nbsp;and&nbsp;secondary&nbsp;aged&nbsp;children&nbsp;and&nbsp;young people&nbsp;on a peripatetic basis to schools across the areas:
(1) Balham and Tooting (2) Putney and Roehampton.


You will effectively conduct full Assessment and Formulation processes for children and young people referred to the JoH group intervention service. This will include working with the school link to make use of and shape the universal and targeted interventions to support groups within the school community in accordance with the Clinical Delivery Model.


You will also plan and deliver universal and targeted group work in consultation with the school and the Line Manager/Clinical Supervisor and&nbsp;discuss&nbsp;potential referrals with school staff keeping the line manager and Clinical Supervisor informed

You'll ensure&nbsp;all clinical work is fully reviewed and outcomes evaluated, in Supervision in order to improve practice, establishing positive, active and effective relationships with the school and Place2Be management team and actively participating in staff meetings to share best practice and develop clinical thinking, knowledge and learning.

About The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant who can take the reins to cover a period of maternity leave. You’ll be responsible for ensuring two directors are fully supported with their busy workload by handling their diary management, fulfilling reporting requirements, preparing meeting documents and taking minutes as well as delivering or supporting on key project work. This role has a specific focus on manipulating and presenting data for reports, therefore you will need to have excellent Excel skills and Power BI experience would be beneficial.  <li>Please note that not all schools will have placements available, but we will try our best to match you to a convenient placement.</li>
 <li>We recruit for Counsellors to start in school in January, April or September in line with school term time. Please note the recruitment and onboarding process can take 2-3 months.</li>

Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.
<ul type="disc">
 <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
 <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
 <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
 <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
 <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
 <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
 <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>
 <li>We have places available in our projects in both primary and secondary schools nationwide.</li>

*Counting your hours
All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. However if you need to gain clinical hours for your course, we would strongly advise that you check with your course tutor as to whether child hours are accepted before applying. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.

You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:

 <li>Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.</li>
 <li>Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.</li>

About the Service Door of Hope (East London) The Door of Hope Service provides support to women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets. This includes journeying alongside women, whilst providing advocacy, information, emotional and practical support. The service also has a strong team of around 15 volunteers, who deliver street outreach to women in Tower Hamlets on a Thursday morning and Friday night. About the Role Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience. Our psychotherapy service for women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets, was borne from the recognition that many of these women would benefit from this style of support, when mainstream offers were not feasible or appropriate or women were denied access because of the multiple disadvantages they were experiencing. In the 18 months since the support has been provided, the positive impact on women and the psychological and behavioural change it has evoked, has been testament to the necessity in providing this service. Based at our offices in Tower Hamlets, your role will be to provide women-centred, psychotherapeutic support for women with complex needs, either in- person, online and on the telephone. You will, on occasion, be required to meet a woman in a local café, hostel or elsewhere in the community, to start forming relationships and trust, as well as small brief, interventions. The role will be working alongside a small team of Door of Hope daytime support workers, and a service manager, who deliver an in-person support service, with women who sell sex in East London. You will work closely with our Door of Hope team, to manage risk around women, and to support her accessing appropriate support services in the Borough. Within this role, we are seeking someone who is non-judgemental, compassionate and can see the strengths that each individual woman brings. You will be able to work in a gender and trauma-informed way and will have a good awareness of the need and role of safeguarding policies and procedures. You will have experience of working with complex trauma, individuals who experience multiple disadvantage and be familiar with working in a multi-disciplinary manner to manage risks around women.
