North London Foundation NHS Trust is at the forefront of this transformation, developing a more holistic, recovery oriented, biopsychosocial approach to supporting people with mental health difficulties, in partnership with primary care, other community NHS providers and the voluntary sector. The aim is to build support systems that reach the whole mental health population with a focus on prevention and sustained recovery delivered by multi-agency collaboration. Each population unit is based on the footprint of a Primary Care Network (PCN), bringing together NHS, voluntary sector, peer support and community organisations. These relationships will be central to the new community mental health model.Clinical Associate Psychologists are an innovative role in mental health services, that are core to this community transformation and offering high quality clinical care to the Camden borough.We have an opportunity for a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist (Band 6) to join our South Camden Core Team on a full-time basis.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>The CAP role is central to the team's psychological provision, with opportunities for group interventions, 1:1 therapy using a Structured Clinical Management model and other evidence based approaches, alongside joint assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation.</p> <p>There will be opportunities for leadership, research, service development and consultation to the system, which will involve liaising with professionals involved in the in care of the individual. The teams work closely as MDTs, with weekly clinical meetings where complex cases can be thought about and MDT formulations can be developed. We are looking for a part time position (3 days a week) for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant within our Adult SLT Service. We work with patients in their own homes, in clinics at inpatient neuro-rehabilitation and in Lister Hospital.</strong></p>
<p>The post-holder will need to be organised, enthusiastic, a good communicator and will have previous experience in a rehabilitation or care delivery setting. You will be assisting in the rehabilitation of patients with a wide range of neurological needs (including physical, communication and cognitive) which may include both individual sessions and group work. You will be working closely with the Speech and Language Therapists and a wider MDT including the medical team, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Nurses. You will need to be able to keep accurate clinical records and have good clerical/ administrative skills.</p>

  <p></p><p>The post-holder will be responsible for supporting Speech and Language Therapists with the assessment and management of adults with acquired communication, speech, language or eating and drinking disorders.</p>
<p>You will carry out therapy plans with patients who may have a range of diagnoses including stroke, Parkinson's, dementia, Motor Neuron disease and other progressive neurological conditions. You will need to build excellent rapport with patients and providing them with a high level of care.</p>
<p>You will need to be able to keep accurate clinical records and have good clerical/ administrative skills.</p>
<p>You will support the team with resource building, such as low tech augmentative and alternative communication aids (AAC).</p>

There are a number of posts across the whole of Central Bedfordshire. Your role will help to develop and deliver a wide range of interventions, projects and system changes with the aim of the whole community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. These are newly funded roles that are community based, whose aim is to offer an Early Intervention service for Young People whose complexities cannot be served by our 5 Mental health in Support Teams but do not reach the threshold for core CAMHS. You will be providing comprehensive consultations, assessments, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties. The post-holder will also clinically supervise colleagues. There may be an option of supervisor training at Reading University which we would strongly encourage post holders to take up.</p>

  <p></p><p>We are looking for confident CAMHS professionals with a demonstrable track record, within CAMHS, of providing good quality evidence-based interventions and improving service quality. You will be a Mental Health Nurse, Systemic Family Psychotherapist, Psychologist, Arts Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Child Psychotherapist, CBT Therapist, Counsellor or Occupational Therapist with the requisite professional registration. We welcome applicants who have experience of working or living in Central Bedfordshire.</p> <p>There is a national focus on increasing the reach of Early Intervention for Children and Young People with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community.
