  <p>We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative qualified Children and Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join Lambeth Child &amp; Adolescent Mental Heath Services (CAMHS).</p>
<p>This CWP role supports the government's priority of increasing access to and availability of mental health and well-being support for children and young people. The post holder will demonstrate an active interest in early intervention, clinical work in community settings, collaborative practice and be skilled in delivering low intensity interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team in Lambeth provides support for mild to moderate difficulties using evidence based guided self-help interventions to both parents and young people. This is an exciting time for the team as we are expanding and developing new ways of working, with a focus on developing links within the community. In addition to the low intensity face to face manualised interventions, the post holder will provide psycho education, specific groups and signposting of more complex cases. The team are also embedded within the wider Lambeth CAMHS service and CWP members have the opportunity to join meetings, reflective practice groups and clinical skills training with staff across Lambeth CAMHS.</p> <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team consists of clinical service leads (job share), a CBT Therapist, a Recruit to Train Trainee CBT Therapist, 3 qualified CWPs and 2 Trainee CWPs. The team is part of a friendly and nurturing local CAMHS team, where there are good training opportunities with a supportive leadership team. Lambeth CAMHS has good links to local social care, education, and voluntary services as well as National and Specialist CAMHS and our teaching and research colleagues within KCL. Lambeth is an inner city, ethnically diverse community and applicants will have an interest in and understanding of diversity issues and how they link to mental health in children and young people.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the radiotherapy/proton beam therapy review team at UCLH. The post holder will undertake rotations between the photon and proton departments. The role involves working and leading within the Radiotherapy Review Team; reviewing patients during their treatment and supporting them both physically and psychologically throughout their radiotherapy journey. They will be required to ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication to the wider MDT. The post holder will play a key role in helping patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy, along with providing them with advice on how to self-care and manage their symptoms appropriately. Any proton beam therapy or photon beam thearpy training required relating to managing side effects of this treatment and other required underpinning knowledge will be provided. Training for on treatment review and independent/supplementary prescribing if required will be supported.The photon department is equipped with Varian TrueBeam systems and a Halcyon with advanced imaging packages and 6DoF couches. The department has a comprehensive brachytherapy suite and a Gulmay skin unit. UCLH is one of only two NHS sites delivering proton beam therapy across the NHS.</p>

  <p>To work with Review Radiographers, Radiotherapy Sisters, Charge Nurses and Staff Nurses, leading as part of the review team.To review patient's during their course of photon or proton treatment and to support them both physically and psychologically throughout their treatment.To ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication of untoward effectsTo lead on service evaluations, audits and projects under a quality improvement framework within the scope of the Review TeamTo leave in teaching, development and appraisal of members of the Review TeamTo help patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy both during and after treatment. Patients should be encouraged to report side effects and advised how to manage symptoms appropriately.To ensure patients' side effects are treated appropriately and efficiently.To give verbal and written information if required.To enable them to discuss any concerns they may have and to feel supported during their treatment.To refer patients as necessary to other health care professionals e.g. dieticians, counsellors etc. and community agencies as needed.To ensure that appropriate follow up arrangements are made and continuity of care communicated to the patient and any other appropriate health care profession. </p>

  <p><strong>Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist in Pain Management</strong>   This is an exciting opportunity to join the Enfield Pain Service (EPS) which serves patients who have a long-term pain condition e.g. chronic lower back pain, chronic widespread pain, fibromyalgia. The EPS is staffed by a supportive team of medical, physiotherapy and psychology professionals as we acknowledge that pain impacts a person's life in lots of different ways.   You'll be working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to deliver psychological assessment and intervention (1:1 and group pain management programmes based on CBT/ACT/CFT) for this cohort of patients. You'll also be supporting the wider multidisciplinary team and liaising with relevant external community services e.g. Talking Therapies, MSK services, community mental health teams. As one of the senior clinicians in the service, you'll be managing and supervising other members of the EPS, leading on aspects of service delivery, evaluation and innovation, and taking on managerial duties to ensure the effective running of the service. Previous experience of working in Pain and/or Long-term Health Conditions is essential. Having additional training and experience in EMDR and PTSD would be advantageous.  Working in pain services can be incredibly rewarding, where psychology is highly valued, and you will develop your skills and experiences of working as a senior clinician and manager in a supportive team.</p>

We create a safe place in schools where children and young people can open up without pressure or stigma, allowing our highly skilled and diverse counsellors to reach children, young people and their families who need us.</p><p>A qualified therapist/ counsellor, you’ve been working in the profession for at least a year, and now it’s time to take the next step.&nbsp; As a Place2Be Supervising Counsellor&nbsp;your main focus is assessment and formulation of referrals and supporting and overseeing the work of the Counsellors on Placement enabling them to deliver interventions across all year groups and achieve the best outcomes for the young people we support. You’ll still deliver some therapeutic work with children yourself, including some group/whole class work, but ultimately, you’ll be shaping clinical delivery of services within the school you operate.</p><p>As part of a huge community of practitioners across the United Kingdom, you’ll have opportunities to share best practice and develop clinical thinking, knowledge and learning.
