Highly Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p><strong>Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist in Pain Management</strong>   This is an exciting opportunity to join the Enfield Pain Service (EPS) which serves patients who have a long-term pain condition e.g. chronic lower back pain, chronic widespread pain, fibromyalgia. The EPS is staffed by a supportive team of medical, physiotherapy and psychology professionals as we acknowledge that pain impacts a person's life in lots of different ways.   You'll be working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to deliver psychological assessment and intervention (1:1 and group pain management programmes based on CBT/ACT/CFT) for this cohort of patients. You'll also be supporting the wider multidisciplinary team and liaising with relevant external community services e.g. Talking Therapies, MSK services, community mental health teams. As one of the senior clinicians in the service, you'll be managing and supervising other members of the EPS, leading on aspects of service delivery, evaluation and innovation, and taking on managerial duties to ensure the effective running of the service. Previous experience of working in Pain and/or Long-term Health Conditions is essential. Having additional training and experience in EMDR and PTSD would be advantageous.  Working in pain services can be incredibly rewarding, where psychology is highly valued, and you will develop your skills and experiences of working as a senior clinician and manager in a supportive team.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This post is part of the Perinatal Psychological Therapies leadership team responsible for overseeing the Psychology provision in their patch. The Clinical Psychology team across the service comprises one band 8b Clinical Psychologist, band 8a Practitioner Psychologists, band 7 Practitioner Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Trainee Clinical Psychologists and Honorary Placement Students.</p>
<p>The post holder will actively contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of perinatal mental health services using advanced clinical leadership skills and knowledge to provide training and consultancy in clinical psychology within the specialty area of perinatal mental health. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and treating service users in Camden and Islington. 20% of their workload is expected to be management &amp; leadership and 80% will be clinical interventions. They are expected to hold a highly complex caseload.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>The current post advertised is for 1 part-time (0.4wte), permanent role for Senior Perinatal Practitioner Psychological Therapist (BABCP accredited): </strong></p> <p><strong>Based in the East Team, with boroughs of responsibility Enfield &amp; Haringey.</strong></p> <p><strong>Important note: The successful candidate will be expected to build community links, referral pathways and provide clinical assessments and evidence based interventions both at their borough of responsibility and their team base. The post holder will jointly oversee the Perinatal Psychology caseload of the East sub-team (Enfield and Haringey) with another 8a already in post.</strong></p>  <p>The post holder will ensure the formulation of profession specific highly specialist care and treatment plans which provide specialist interventions / care to service users with complex mental health conditions. <p>The five nine month rotations cover a broad range of specialties as follows;</p>
<p> Intensive care and HDU with focus on weaning, rehabilitation and Respiratory management</p>
<p> Medicine - including Acute NIV, respiratory out patients and cover to the High Level Isolation Unit.</p>
<p> Hepato-Pancreatico-biliary surgery including ERAS pathway and prehabilitation</p>
<p>Liver Transplantation</p>

  <p>We are fortunate to have a Respiratory Physiotherapy Consultant with a special interest in non-invasive ventilation and research and she provides support to the wider team.</p>

  <p>We are proud to be developing new roles for Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners to join our experienced workforce in Hertfordshire.</p>
<p>The post holder will have a desire to develop their skills in working with adults with severe and enduring mental illness, some of whom will have not had previous access to psychologically informed interventions.</p>
<p>The post-holder will work collaboratively with service users, their families, carers, and multi-disciplinary team members to provide assessment, care planning and coordination of care, supporting collaborative decision-making about care and treatment.</p>

  <p>We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative qualified Children and Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join Lambeth Child &amp; Adolescent Mental Heath Services (CAMHS).</p>
<p>This CWP role supports the government's priority of increasing access to and availability of mental health and well-being support for children and young people. The post holder will demonstrate an active interest in early intervention, clinical work in community settings, collaborative practice and be skilled in delivering low intensity interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team in Lambeth provides support for mild to moderate difficulties using evidence based guided self-help interventions to both parents and young people. This is an exciting time for the team as we are expanding and developing new ways of working, with a focus on developing links within the community. In addition to the low intensity face to face manualised interventions, the post holder will provide psycho education, specific groups and signposting of more complex cases. The team are also embedded within the wider Lambeth CAMHS service and CWP members have the opportunity to join meetings, reflective practice groups and clinical skills training with staff across Lambeth CAMHS.</p> <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team consists of clinical service leads (job share), a CBT Therapist, a Recruit to Train Trainee CBT Therapist, 3 qualified CWPs and 2 Trainee CWPs. The team is part of a friendly and nurturing local CAMHS team, where there are good training opportunities with a supportive leadership team. Lambeth CAMHS has good links to local social care, education, and voluntary services as well as National and Specialist CAMHS and our teaching and research colleagues within KCL.   <p>This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the radiotherapy/proton beam therapy review team at UCLH. The post holder will undertake rotations between the photon and proton departments. The role involves working and leading within the Radiotherapy Review Team; reviewing patients during their treatment and supporting them both physically and psychologically throughout their radiotherapy journey. They will be required to ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication to the wider MDT. The post holder will play a key role in helping patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy, along with providing them with advice on how to self-care and manage their symptoms appropriately. Any proton beam therapy or photon beam thearpy training required relating to managing side effects of this treatment and other required underpinning knowledge will be provided. Training for on treatment review and independent/supplementary prescribing if required will be supported.The photon department is equipped with Varian TrueBeam systems and a Halcyon with advanced imaging packages and 6DoF couches. The department has a comprehensive brachytherapy suite and a Gulmay skin unit. UCLH is one of only two NHS sites delivering proton beam therapy across the NHS.</p>
