<p>Our Befriending Project supports people in the London boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow who are socially isolated. They may have a physical or sensory disability, or they may have mild dementia, and are sometimes housebound.</p><p>On successful completion of the training, Befrienders are matched with someone who lives close to them.</p><p>They make a weekly 1-2 hour visit to the client's home, where they might stay in and chat over a cup of tea or, where possible, go out for a walk together, visit a café or undertake a local activity.</p><p>These visits make such a difference for the client, but volunteering with BEfriend not only enriches the lives of those who are isolated, it also offers immense personal rewards.</p><p>As a Befriender, you’ll get to know inspirational people with fascinating stories, develop new skills and be part of a supportive team that values compassion and connection.</p>

<p>You&nbsp;will provide a clinical service of specialist psychology assessments and interventions to a number of adult service users with&nbsp;acute mental health needs&nbsp;on the ward. You will also provide a specialist clinical perspective in relation to other service users with whom you might not be directly involved. Potters Bar uses a formulation driven and trauma informed model of care.</p>
<p>Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.</p>

<p><strong>As a Psychologist you will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Working autonomously to provide a specialist psychology service to patients as agreed by Consultant Psychiatrist, Therapies Lead, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and in discussion with wider MDT.</li>
    <li>Undertaking specialist assessments.</li>
    <li>Providing specialist interventions according to formulations based on an appropriate conceptual framework, NICE guidelines, evidence from research, and in accordance with the wider MDT formulation and interventions.</li>
    <li>Be involved in running therapeutic groups on the ward as agreed.</li>
    <li>Continually monitor risk of all patients for whom there is direct contact, or regarding which the post holder receives relevant information, ensure acute risk is managed, liaise with MDT (and in particular responsible psychiatrist) regarding risk, and update electronic record including risk assessment as required.</li>
    <li>Ensuring that all clinical work is adequately recoded in the electronic patient record.</li>
    <li>Attending ward rounds (and other MDT meetings), case conferences, CPAs as required, and provide reports in advance for these in accordance with local procedures.</li>
    <li>Preparing clinical; reports as required, e.g. assessment reports, discharge summaries.</li>
    <li>Liaising with internal and external colleagues as required</li>
    <li>Completing all recording and reporting tasks associated with clinical work.</li>
    <li>Facilitating ‘reflective practice’ sessions for the ward-based staff as agreed within the psychological therapies team and in discussion with wider MDT.&nbsp;Please note that the reflective practice sessions take place at 7:30am and 7:30pm to cover day and night ward-based staff. There is flexibility in the working arrangements to accommodate these working patterns.</li>

  <p>The Perinatal Mental Health Service has a highly skilled team of perinatal psychological therapists who are committed to providing evidence-based interventions to women, birthing people and their families that are accessible and acceptable to the diverse South London population. We are recruiting a b8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist to work in Lambeth and across the Trust as required.</p>
<p>Our psychological workforce and the therapeutic modalities that we offer are a key part of delivering the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan. This post focuses primarily on delivery of perinatal psychological therapies for maternal mental health problems, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).   <p>Perinatal Mental Health Teams (PMHTs) are secondary care mental health teams that specialise in supporting women and birthing people in the perinatal period (pregnancy through until 12 months postnatal) who have severe and complex mental health difficulties.</p>
<p>We assess and treat a range of difficulties including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, personality disorders and eating disorders. The service is designed to provide timely input to families to mitigate the impact of mental health disorder on the child.</p>
<p>We are a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, and nursery nursing. The service works closely with maternity/obstetric services as well as other agencies (e.g., health visiting and social services). We have close links with the Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) in-patient unit at the Bethlem Royal Hospital.</p>

  <p>We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative qualified Children and Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join Lambeth Child &amp; Adolescent Mental Heath Services (CAMHS).</p>
<p>This CWP role supports the government's priority of increasing access to and availability of mental health and well-being support for children and young people. The post holder will demonstrate an active interest in early intervention, clinical work in community settings, collaborative practice and be skilled in delivering low intensity interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team in Lambeth provides support for mild to moderate difficulties using evidence based guided self-help interventions to both parents and young people. This is an exciting time for the team as we are expanding and developing new ways of working, with a focus on developing links within the community. In addition to the low intensity face to face manualised interventions, the post holder will provide psycho education, specific groups and signposting of more complex cases. The team are also embedded within the wider Lambeth CAMHS service and CWP members have the opportunity to join meetings, reflective practice groups and clinical skills training with staff across Lambeth CAMHS.</p> <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team consists of clinical service leads (job share), a CBT Therapist, a Recruit to Train Trainee CBT Therapist, 3 qualified CWPs and 2 Trainee CWPs. The team is part of a friendly and nurturing local CAMHS team, where there are good training opportunities with a supportive leadership team. Lambeth CAMHS has good links to local social care, education, and voluntary services as well as National and Specialist CAMHS and our teaching and research colleagues within KCL. Lambeth is an inner city, ethnically diverse community and applicants will have an interest in and understanding of diversity issues and how they link to mental health in children and young people.</p>

We're seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to develop the speech and language therapy provision with the adult acute mental health inpatient wards. This new role offers the opportunity to shape patient care, lead on establishing the role of SLT, influence policy, and promote the use of least restrictive practice, supporting people on our wards.</p>
<p>This newly funded positionwill form an integral part of the MDT team, led by the Head of AHPs, working alongside a therapy team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapy, Arts Therapists, Assistant Therapy Practitioners and Psychologists. The post holder will work across the two Assessment and Short term treatment wards, both based at Kingfisher court.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As part of the ward based team you will provide expert clinical guidance, especially for people with highly complex needs and those requiring specialist Speech and Language therapy assessments and interventions. You will be supported by the rest of the MDT, especially by the Occupational Therapists within the ward. The post holder will offer the core Speech and Language therapy assessments and interventions, as well as proving advice for the MDT on SLT treatment plans and outcomes of assessments. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of transforming our in-patient services across the Trust using person centred, recovery based, trauma informed care to provide the least restrictive interventions.</p>
<p>The role offers the opportunity to develop managerial and leadership skills whilst delivering specialist clinical interventions for people admitted to the adult acute mental health wards. The post holder will receive support and training around the development of working with people with mental health needs as required.</p>
<p>The role offers opportunities to access internal and external training to help embed and develop the SLT provision within this team. This may be in Trauma Informed Care/ Positive Behavioural Support/ ASD etc and can be identified with you as part of your professional development and aligned with the needs of the service.</p>

  <p>There is a rare opportunity due to staff moving on to join our Adult Acute Inpatient Mental Health therapies team as a horticultural therapist.</p>
