  <p>The successful applicant will join a team of passionate and experienced Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Practitioners and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists; assisting treatment protocols for the service.</p> <p>The post holder will support the team in providing a trauma informed service, which includes:</p> <ul>  <li>The running of groups (preparation sessions).</li>  <li>Co-facilitating other treatment groups where required</li>  <li>Individual stabilization work where required.</li>  <li>Supporting the team with initial assessments where required.</li>  <li>Undertaking projects relating to service development and evaluation focussing on the outcomes of the team's clinical work.</li>  <li>Supporting literature reviews and evidence based practice where required.</li>  <li>Designing and managing databases, spreadsheets and using advanced IT skills in evaluations and audits.</li>  <li>Liaising with 3rd sector organisations to assist the service in its co-production, including running focus group with service users.</li>  <li>Assisting service promotion where required.</li> </ul>   <h3>About us</h3>
  <p>The East Midlands Gambling Harms Service is a well supported multidisciplinary team that sits within DHCFT specialist services. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This role is based in the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin NHS Talking Therapies Service (IAPT) and it aims to develop the Step 2 service provision within NHS Talking Therapies</p>
<p>In the role you will offer evidence-based practice in guided self-help/low intensity CBT, assessing and treating our local population. Alongside this, you will support access into service for populations that we do not reach effectively, covering the Global Majority and Older Adult (65+) demographics. You will use special knowledge and experience in these areas to help organise, run and Step 2 therapy groups for specific populations, liaising with the 3rd Sector.</p>
<p>You will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and may be called upon to work in various community settings (including GP surgeries and other, 3<em>rd</em> sector, settings) and psychological treatment centres.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>Provide assessment and Step 2 interventions, (psycho-educational interventions, Guided Self Help, computerised CBT) to patients registered with GP practices/health centres and or resident in Shropshire, Telford &amp; Wrekin, drawing from CBT theories and techniques</li>
<li>Provide a service that is comprehensive and accessible to a broad range of patients who have commonplace mental health problems and who are over 16 years of age</li>
<li>To provide a service that is equitable and non-discriminatory in terms of age, gender, ethnicity and disability.</li>
<li>Develop specific group work within the community, liaising with Third Sector and other Health Organisations</li>
<li>Maintain a strong EDI focus internally within the team, as well as externally.   </li>
