<p>We're looking for an experienced psychological professional whether you're a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, a BABCP-accredited CBT Therapist, or another qualified psychological therapist to join our friendly and supportive team in South Buckinghamshire. If you're working at a <strong>band 7 or 8a we can offer full-time hours (37.5) or you're working at an band 8b we are able to offer the vacancy part-time working 22.5 hours per week.</strong></p>

  <p>As a member of a specialist Psychological Therapies team, you will work closely with colleagues in our CMHT and in-patient teams as well as the newly develop Primary Care Community Mental Health Hubs. You will also liaise with and support psychological therapists working at earlier steps in the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway. You will work with the Clinical Lead, Locality Leads, Team Manager and your team to ensure that the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway achieves its key objectives of delivering integrated, safe, accessible, responsive, effective and caring services to people in Buckinghamshire.</p> <p>You will provide psychological assessments and interventions for adults with severe and/or complex mental health problems, their families and carers. You will provide supervision and management support to other psychological therapists and consultation and guidance to our colleagues in the CMHT. You will have excellent communication skills and will participate in multidisciplinary risk assessment, formulation and care planning. You should be able to demonstrate your experience, skills and qualifications in evidence-based approaches in specialist adult mental health settings, this may include for example CBT or third wave approaches / Schema Therapy / EMDR / DBT / MBT / CAT. Hybrid Adult Counsellor - Survivor Space Oxfordshire

VACANCY: Survivor Space Oxfordshire - Adult's Counsellor December 17, 2025 <p><b>Job title:</b> Adult's Counsellor</p><p><b>Role summary:</b> The Survivor Space Counselling and Groups Service currently supports people of all genders aged 12 and over who have been affected by sexual violence. This role is to work with survivors who are adults aged over 18 years. The service currently offers a weekly online Drop-in group; Psychoeducation sessions; Counselling and a Neurodiverse group. The counselling service offers up to 12 sessions of counselling. Please ask if you have further questions before applying. All staff and volunteers attend the Survivor Space Core training when available. The Adult Counsellor will work on a week day from East Oxford offering face-to-face counselling. The remaining hours can be worked from home and from our other counselling hubs throughout the county. This can be on days to suit the counsellor in agreement with the Clinical Lead and needs of the service. The Counsellor will be required to attend the Counselling and Groups Team meeting online, Wednesday morning at 9am (usually 30-45 mins) and will also attend at least 1.5 hrs of supervision per month, and a 1-hour Line management meeting per month (online).</p><p><b>About the Group:</b> This is an exciting time to join Survivor Space Oxfordshire as we start our new Lottery funded project. Survivor Space Oxfordshire has been supporting and empowering survivors of sexual violence in Oxfordshire since 1979. Until 2024 we were known as the Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre (OSARCC). We enable survivors to take control of their recovery in a person-centred way, improving mental and physical wellbeing, and raising future aspirations. We provide independent, free and confidential services in an environment where survivors can receive trauma-informed, specialist support from our experienced and friendly team of staff and volunteers. Survivor Space believes that sexual violence is both a cause and consequence of women's inequality and discrimination and we therefore work within a feminist empowerment model and Rape Crisis ethos which informs our activities and the way in which we deliver our services.</p><p><b>Job location:</b> East Oxford and online</p><p><b>Applications close on:</b> 19th January 2026</p><p><b>Contract is: </b>4 years fixed term until February 2030</p>
