As an integral team in the Urgent Care Pathway we work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   <p>This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the radiotherapy/proton beam therapy review team at UCLH. The post holder will undertake rotations between the photon and proton departments. The role involves working and leading within the Radiotherapy Review Team; reviewing patients during their treatment and supporting them both physically and psychologically throughout their radiotherapy journey. They will be required to ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication to the wider MDT. The post holder will play a key role in helping patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy, along with providing them with advice on how to self-care and manage their symptoms appropriately. Any proton beam therapy or photon beam thearpy training required relating to managing side effects of this treatment and other required underpinning knowledge will be provided. Training for on treatment review and independent/supplementary prescribing if required will be supported.The photon department is equipped with Varian TrueBeam systems and a Halcyon with advanced imaging packages and 6DoF couches. The department has a comprehensive brachytherapy suite and a Gulmay skin unit. UCLH is one of only two NHS sites delivering proton beam therapy across the NHS.</p>

  <p>To work with Review Radiographers, Radiotherapy Sisters, Charge Nurses and Staff Nurses, leading as part of the review team.To review patient's during their course of photon or proton treatment and to support them both physically and psychologically throughout their treatment.To ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication of untoward effectsTo lead on service evaluations, audits and projects under a quality improvement framework within the scope of the Review TeamTo leave in teaching, development and appraisal of members of the Review TeamTo help patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy both during and after treatment. The CTC list is radiographer led with a CTC reporting radiographer.</p> <p>We have recently been through a departmental refurbishment and installation of 3 new state of the art Canon CT scanners as part of the Radiology Managed Service contract.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>HHFT supports specialist services for rare and complex illnesses for patients from across the UK, including liver cancer, colorectal cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei. We undertake a wide variety of CT imaging examinations to complement these specialities including body imaging, CT colonography and Cardiac CT. We also perform a wide range of vascular, oncological, MSK, trauma and neurological studies.</p> <p>Therefore, with the expansion of Radiology services over the next few years and enhanced scope of practice available, this is an ideal opportunity to expand your portfolio.</p> <p>We welcome applications from experienced CT radiographers with effective leadership skills who have a proactive approach to providing outstanding care for every patient. Ideal candidates will be a well organised team player with great clinical knowledge, good communication skills, with the ability to prioritise ever-changing worklists.   <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative radiographer/technician who ideally has previous experience working in Nuclear Medicine, to join our small team.</p>
<p>We are a state of the art department comprising of 2 hybrid SPECT/CT scanners and 1 dual headed gamma camera. We carry out diagnostic imaging, non imaging examinations and treat benign and malignant diseases by means of our therapy service.</p>

  <p>The successful candidate will be required to undertake a full range of Nuclear Medicine duties including routine scanning, processing, dispensing and administration of Radiopharmaceuticals using relevant systems of work and applications. Rotate through radio pharmacy production, and learn specialised skills such as sentinel node localisation and myocardial perfusion stress testing.</p>

Southlands boasts a state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre, opened last year, enhancing care with a new Canon Aquilion ONE Prism CT for GP and outpatient referrals.</p> <p>You'll be joining a friendly, nurturing team committed to professional development. We offer on-the-job training in Cardiac CT, CT Colonography, PGD drug administration, and you'll play a key role in our Radiographer-led CT Colonography service.</p> <p>We're exploring the opportunity to offer a rotation through MRI as part of this post, so MRI experience is desirable but not essential.</p> <p>If you have 2+ years post-grad experience, NHS background, and CT experience, we'd love to hear from you.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Day to do day running of our busy CT department, providing the best possible care to our patients</p>
<p>Undertake a wide range of CT examinations to a high standard including stroke, trauma, oncology, intervention, CT Colonography, Cardiac CT.</p>
<p>Supervising junior Radiographers and students</p>
<p>Liaising with Radiologists, service users, clerical booking teams to ensure an efficient service for our patients.</p>
<p>Posts are based at Worthing with regular rotation to Southlands Hospital to help run the CT service at the CDC.</p>
<p>Participation in a shift system including the out of hours CT service - evenings, weekends with possible requirement to do nights.</p>
