  <p>We are looking for an ambitious band 6 radiographer to join our team and work within the radiology department of the Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre part of West Suffolk Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to provide a high standard of care to all patients.</p> <p>The Community Diagnostic Centre is a new building with state of the art equipment, which giving patients better accessibility to healthcare locally.</p> <p>As a senior Radiographer you will expected to be pivotal in the day to day running of the department as well as supporting the band 5 radiographers in providing a safe and caring environment for our patients and staff.</p> <p>Successful candidates will be expected to rotate through all areas covered by the general radiography team.</p> <p>We are a QSI accredited hospital and as a radiographer working here you would be expected to help maintain this accreditation through participation of audits and departmental quality improvements.</p>

  <p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified radiographers (BSc in radiography or equivalent is essential). You must have the ability to communicate with all grades of staff and all patients groups, seeking advice as required. You will also demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and concentrate on tasks in a busy environment.   <p>The Radiology Department undertakes approximately 251,300 examinations a year ranging over a variety of modalities.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an highly motivated, dedicated and experienced CT Radiographer to take a significant leadership role of the CT service and team of Radiographer.</p> <p>The Ealing Community Diagnostic Centre provides a wide range of imaging facilities with brand new state of the art equipment, serving patients from the London North West Sector.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>General responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>This is a clinical modality lead position which requires expert clinical as well as managerial responsibilities. Leading a team of radiographers and ancillary staff to provide high quality and efficient CT service to the Trust and wider NWL and private sector.</li>
<li>To on lead on issues relating to clinical governance and equipment maintenance for the modality.</li>
<li>Undertake clinical work and maintaining high standard of work of own and other members of staff.</li>
<li>Deputise and provide support for the Imaging site Clinical Lead Radiographer.</li>
<li>Maintain and supervise waiting list targets for the modality.</li>
</ul>
