  <p>We are delighted to share a rare and exciting opportunity to join our friendly, well-established team in a brand new role at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Due to expansion and improvement of the Acute Medical Unit (AMU), we are seeking to recruit a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to be joint team lead for the acute team, and to clinically lead on delivery of the service to AMU.</p> <p>The postholder will share responsibility for leading the acute team of band 5 and 6 SLTs and a band 4 assistant alongside the other band 7 team lead, and will have access to CPD, supervision, peer support and internal and external training opportunities to develop and enhance their leadership skills.</p> <p>The successful candidate will carry a caseload of patients on AMU, including patients with and without tracheostomies, and those receiving non-invasive ventilation.   <p>An exciting opportunity have arisen on Shakespeare inpatient ward at the Harbour, for the role of Health and Wellbeing worker.</p>
<p>This role is perfect for outgoing, highly motivated and creative individuals, who want to enhance service users inpatient experience through activity.</p>
<p>The right candidates will be able to work with a degree of autonomy, whilst under the guidance of the occupational therapy team and the ward leadership teams, to delivery high quality activities that meet the needs of the service users.</p>
<p>Interests in fitness and knowledge around healthy lifestyles are essential, as are a willingness to role model to peers in the clinical environments around positive engagement on the ward in relation to alleviating boredom, providing meaningful activity and building therapeutic relationships</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will be expected to provide healthy lifestyle interventions with service users, and will be expected to lead on delivering high quality meaningful activities.</p>
<p>As such a motivated individual with a creative streak is required. You will be expected to be part of a health and wellbeing team that provides 7 day activity provision, and as such will be required to work weekends on a shift pattern. You will also be required to be available to work between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00, dependent on service need.</p>
<p>These posts are full time, with no current opportunity for part time hours.</p>
<p>You will be a role model to peers, with excellent interpersonal skills, and able to build relationships with service users who are going through challenging times in their lives.</p>

      <p><strong>F<strong>or f</strong>urther information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification</strong></p> <ul>  <li>Co-ordinate and maintain the Clinical Trials service in accordance with current UK Clinical Trial Regulations, the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) regulation 2004 (EU Clinical Trial Directive) and all updates, together with ICH GCP guidelines and departmental procedures and ensure provision of a high-quality service to patients and staff at the Royal Marsden.</li>  <li>Setting up new clinical trials at RM, attending set-up meetings and working closely with Clinical Research Associates and Research Nurses.</li>  <li>Be responsible for preparing and updating clear and concise pharmacy guides and assist with nurses preparation guidelines for clinical trials.</li>  <li>Be responsible for ensuring that all pharmacy procedures are in place in time for recruitment of the first patient to a new clinical trial.</li>  <li>Ensure storage condition records and accurate expiry records for clinical trials are kept up to date and archived for future reference.Be responsible for accurate record keeping and drug accountability of clinical trials.</li> </ul>
