
Senior Occupational Therapist
Job summary
**Occupational Therapy Opportunity** An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist, to work with adults of working age within the inpatient service at Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who is experienced in the field of mental health. You will be based within the Therapies department (comprised of Occupational Therapists; Art Psychotherapists and Psychologists) and will work to provide a therapeutic activity programme and will also work closely with service users during their recovery, assessing their needs and providing treatment interventions to facilitate their successful discharge. The use of OT assessment and evaluation tools will be a part of your everyday practice. We require someone who is flexible and approachable. Effective communication skills, time management and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work well with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will be expected to engage in activities related to your continuing professional development and clinical effectiveness through regular in-service training and a comprehensive supervision and appraisal structure. The post holder will be expected to supervise band 5 OT's and take students, and there will be excellent opportunities to develop your professional.
