Job Title: Senior Clinical Psychologist
Location: Ty Aberdafen
Salary: Band 8, £55,690 - £62,682 per annum (DOE, Full-Time Equivalent)
Additional: £6,000 Golden Hello Bonus (FTE)
Job PurposeAs a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Ty Aberdafen, you will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention to adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions. You will lead on clinical practice within the psychology team, contribute to multidisciplinary rehabilitation planning, and support service development in line with best practice and organisational values.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and evidence-based therapies tailored to complex neurological and cognitive presentations
- Provide clinical leadership and expert advice within the psychology service and wider multidisciplinary team
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior psychologists and trainees
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to risk management, safeguarding, and clinical governance standards
- Liaise with service users, families, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic care and positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to reporting requirements
- Support and promote professional development and reflective practice within the team
Essential:
- Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Significant post-qualification experience, preferably within neuropsychology or acquired brain injury rehabilitation
- Proven ability to lead clinical practice and manage complex cases
- Experience supervising and developing junior staff or trainees
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development
