Role Overview
A specialist mental health provider is seeking a HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist to join a well-established inpatient service on a part-time, permanent basis.
The service delivers a range of rehabilitation, acute, PICU, and secure mental health pathways, supporting adults with complex and enduring mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychologist looking to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment delivering recovery-focused, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions
Provide evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, DBT, systemic and/or psychodynamic approaches
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care planning and risk management
Deliver individual and group-based psychological interventions
Provide consultation, supervision, and psychological guidance to colleagues and trainees
Maintain high standards of clinical governance, record keeping, and ethical practice
Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Engage in ongoing CPD to maintain professional registration and clinical standards
Essential Requirements
HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic)
Doctoral-level (or equivalent) postgraduate qualification in psychology
Substantial experience working within adult mental health services
Proven experience delivering psychological assessment and therapy to adults with complex mental health presentations
Confidence working with conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and personality difficulties
Ability to deliver both individual and group interventions
Strong MDT working skills and a recovery-focused, trauma-informed approach
