Salary is up to £58,250 FTE, depending on experience

This is an opportunity to provide psychological therapy to patients receiving treatment across our 3 acute wards. This role is part-time, at 30 hours per week. The actual salary for this role is up to £46,816 depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

You will join the team on the Acute Ward. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

  • Receive and respond promptly to referrals
  • Undertake specialist psychological assessments and formulate therapy plans
  • Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based interventions
  • Manage an allocated caseload within agreed timescales
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, MDT members, and clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records, reports, and electronic documentation
Clinical & Professional Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological interventions and standard care plans
  • Offer specialist advice, consultation, and guidance to other professionals
  • Exercise autonomous responsibility for assessment, treatment, and discharge
  • Administer psychometric tests and other evidence-based assessments
  • Undertake risk assessment and risk management
  • Provide clinical supervision to an Assistant Psychologist

What you'll bring to the role

Essential - HCPC registration and Clinical Psychologist registration.

Priory Hospital Bristol team works with clients with complex mental health problems, including complex emotional needs, psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, recurrent depression and complex PTSD. We are interested in candidates with specialist training in DBT. Additional training in other psychotherapies, such as CBT, CBTp, MBT, CAT, EMDR, and ACT, would be a bonus.
