Contract type: Full time or part time positions available - Days & Nights (mixed shifts). Must be flexible.
Rate/Salary: £20.94 per hour
About the roleYou will work as a Registered Nurse at Hylton Grange care home, supporting adults with complex and high acuity mental health and neuro-disability needs. Your role includes delivering person centred nursing care, promoting independence, and supporting a range of clinical and management responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan and implement care for people we support.
- Provide person centred and evidence based nursing care.
- Develop collaborative, needs based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Administer medication safely.
- Promote health and wellbeing.
- Act as the Nurse in Charge of a small unit while on shift.
- Manage situations when people display challenging behaviours.
- Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect.
- First level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
- Knowledge of assessment, admission and discharge processes.
- Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in adult, mental health and/or learning disability nursing.
- A calm nature, ability to defuse challenging situations, and commitment to best practice.
