Pay: £101.40 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm (term time only)
Start Date: January 2026
Interviews & Trial Days: Early January 2026
This specialist provision supports pupils with high support Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Global Developmental Delay (GDD). Many pupils are non verbal, so this role is ideal for graduates who are empathetic, observant, and interested in communication beyond speech.
Your Experience Will Include:Supporting sensory regulation and sensory care
Providing personal care (toileting and hygiene routines)
Facilitating communication through play, art, music, visuals, and sensory tools
Assisting with daily therapeutic activities inspired by Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech & Language Therapy (SALT), and Clinical Psychology
Developing an understanding of behaviour, emotional regulation, and individual sensory profiles
This is an outstanding opportunity for graduates planning postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Art Therapy, or related therapeutic pathways.
Understanding Global Developmental Delay (GDD)GDD involves significant delays across two or more areas of development, such as cognition, communication, movement, or emotional regulation.
In this role, you will learn how to tailor support to each child's unique needs, helping them make meaningful progress in a safe and nurturing environment.
