Location: Yorkshire Primary SchoolSalary Range: £54k - £64k FT term time or £62k - £73k FT 52 weeks
Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and child-centred Psychologist to join a Primary School in Yorkshire. The role focuses on supporting pupils with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and additional learning differences. You'll work closely with school leaders and staff to help create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out psychological assessments and provide clear, practical guidance to inform individual learning and support plans.

Develop and share psychological formulations to support children presenting with complex needs.

Offer consultation and reflective practice to teachers and support staff, helping to embed therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches within the school.

Collaborate with the wider pastoral and inclusion teams to ensure a joined-up approach to pupil wellbeing.

Maintain accurate records and engage in regular professional supervision and continuing development.
Essential Requirements:

HCPC-registered Psychologist (Educational, Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic).

Experience working with primary-aged children and supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, or developmental needs.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across school teams.

A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting positive emotional wellbeing.
Desirable:

Experience working in a mainstream or specialist primary education setting.

Confidence delivering staff training, workshops, or group interventions.
