Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner - Durham and Darlington

Talking Therapies is an experienced Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, supporting people experiencing common mental health problems and helping individuals achieve improved mental and physical wellbeing. As an IAPT Qualified PWP, you will play a key role in providing high-volume, low-intensity assessments and evidence-based interventions to people experiencing common mental health difficulties, including anxiety and depression., We have an exciting opportunity for an IAPT Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join our established Talking Therapies service. Talking Therapies is an experienced Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, supporting people experiencing common mental health problems and helping individuals achieve improved mental and physical wellbeing. As an IAPT Qualified PWP, you will play a key role in providing high-volume, low-intensity assessments and evidence-based interventions to people experiencing common mental health difficulties, including anxiety and depression. You will accept referrals into the service, undertake telephone and face-to-face screening and assessments, and support people to self-manage their recovery. You will work collaboratively with service users to identify their goals and support them to make positive changes. Your role will include delivering a range of evidence-based low-intensity interventions, including guided self-help, courses
and computerised CBT, alongside providing information and support regarding psychological and pharmacological treatments where appropriate. You will work closely with colleagues across the service to ensure appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place, maintaining an effective stepped-care approach.
