A multi-award winning, values-driven, non-profit social enterprise has an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Support Worker / Social Care Worker to provide person-centred care to vulnerable adults, supporting recovery and promoting independence within a supportive and inclusive environment.

SALARY: £26,980 to £28,800 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Catford, South London

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (rota basis, including day, evening, and occasional weekends with sleep-in shifts)

DUTIES

Your duties as the Mental Health Support Worker / Social Care Worker include:

  • Providing Person-Centred Care: Support residents with daily living and recovery plans
  • Encouraging Independence: Empower individuals to achieve personal goals and greater self-reliance
  • Managing Caseloads: Maintain up-to-date case records and care plans using CRM systems
  • Monitoring Progress: Observe and record mental health and behavioural changes
  • Supporting Wellbeing: Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all residents
  • Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with colleagues and healthcare professionals to coordinate care
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete reports, documentation, and assessments accurately
  • Safeguarding Responsibilities: Ensure all support provided meets safeguarding and confidentiality standards

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience of working in a mental health or supported living environment
  • Qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent vocational qualification)
  • Good understanding of mental health conditions and recovery approaches
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, compassionate attitude
  • Ability to use initiative and manage workload under pressure
  • Competent in using CRM systems, databases, and general IT applications
  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal development
  • Positive, adaptable, and values-driven approach to supporting others
