What You'll Be Doing

This is a support role, not a personal care role.

You'll provide face-to-face support to people living with mental illness, helping them to:

  • Build confidence and emotional resilience
  • Strengthen relationships with family and professionals
  • Develop skills for independent living
  • Maintain a positive tenancy

Some individuals may need help to manage challenges such as substance misuse, anti-social behaviour or offending-related risks. You'll respond proactively and work closely with housing, legal and criminal justice partners when needed.

You'll also keep clear, accurate records, so confidence with IT, numeracy and writing is important.

Skills You'll Have
  • An understanding of mental health diagnoses and needs, and a genuine desire to make a difference
  • The ability to stay calm and patient, even during challenging moments
  • Confident communication skills with vulnerable adults as well as other professionals
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently
  • Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills
Shift Patterns

Our support runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You'll work a range of shifts, typically between 8am and 9pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
