Salary: £13 per hour

Hours; Shift work 8am-4pm / night shifts 10pm-8am

Location: Stowmarket

I am recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker based in a supported accommodation service in Stowmarket. provide compassionate, person centred care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will act as a keyworker for assigned tenants, providing compassionate, person centred care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will help them manage their accommodation effectively and assist them in developing essential day to day living skills, supporting them to achieve greater independence and improve their overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer emotional support, helping with daily living tasks and assisting with treatment plans.
• Provide tailored support plans that promote recovery, independence and personal growth.
• Support tenants in developing day to day living skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, personal care and time management to promote independence.
• Provide emotional and practical support to individuals with mental health needs, encouraging recovery focused approaches and self-management of their mental health.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns whilst maintaining accurate up to date records, including support sessions, risk assessments, incident reports and progress notes in line with organisational policies.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting individuals with mental health
• Ability to conduct effective 1:1 support sessions, building trust and tailoring support to individual needs
• Compassionate, non-judgemental and patient.
• Understanding of mental health conditions and how they impact daily life

Required:

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
• Ability to work flexible hours
