A specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) School in Oxford is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Assistant to support students aged 11-16 with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical experience working with vulnerable young people in a highly rewarding setting while building the skills needed for future postgraduate study or professional training. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will: Support students with social, emotional and mental health needs both in and out of the classroom. Build positive, therapeutic relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience. Assist with therapeutic interventions, group activities and emotional regulation strategies. Encourage positive behaviour and help students develop social and coping skills. Work alongside experienced teachers, therapists and pastoral staff within a specialist SEMH setting.
