Job summary

The Greater Manchester Resilience Hub is a unique, all age, mental healthcoordination service established after the Manchester Arena Attack on 22ndMay 2017 since which a number of different programs have beencommissioned.

The broad aims of this Pathfinder Partnership service are to:o create and improve pathways and partnership working approaches to the benefit of individuals with complex trauma related mental health needs associated with sexual assault and abuse;o improve access to professionals trained in identification of, and appropriate response to, complex trauma related mental health needs associated with sexual assault and abuse;o for individuals with complex trauma related mental health needs the primary aim is to reduce complex trauma related symptoms and improve quality of life (improve individual wellbeing, reduce mental health symptomology,minimise harm and re-traumatisation, improve functioning (including social and occupational) and support healing and recovery);o encourage establishment of trauma-informed systems that have impactbeyond this service;o build evidence base for the value of new approaches.

Main duties of the job

As a Highly Specialist Psychotherapist within the Hub pathfinder project you will:o work across all partner agencies but primarily within the hub and GMSARC (based at Manchester SARC) to:o refer potential clients into the pathway.o Deliver formal clinical consultation to partner organisationso present cases at consultation and panel sessions as required.o complete individual assessments and formulation.o Deliver a range of interventions including stablisation and therapypreparation work and some direct therapy.o Provide specialist advice and consultation to partner agencies asrequired.o Provide Liaison and advocacy with other professional agenciesincluding social services, probation, drug and alcohol services,housing etco Play an active role in supporting the development of the Hub inbecoming a GM centre of excellence in the care of those experiencingpsychological difficulties as a result of involvement in a major incidentor other trauma;o Play an active role in the development of qualified and unqualified staffwithin the Hub and partner agencies

Sources of data include: observations, self-report measures,semi-structured interviews with clients, their families and other professionalsinvolved in the clients care. To be responsible for implementing a range of psychological therapeuticinterventions for individuals. Developing and refining formulations across arange of clients and psychological models To contribute to the psychological understanding of trauma in adults, and offer guidance and supervision to a range of other professionals working to improve their clients mental health and other important outcomes. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the entirety of yourwork within the Resilience Hub. • Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and registration with the Health Professions Council OR UKCP registered therapist with core professional qualification e.g. RMN; OT; MHSW and Masters or Doctoral level qualification in psychotherapy. OR BABCP/BACP accredited CBT/therapist with additional training in for example EMDR/DBT

Desirable

• Post-qualification training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
