Job summary
Our Talking Therapies Service in Kent and Medway are looking for two High Intensity Therapists to join the service on a full-time permanent basis.
Main duties of the job
As a High Intensity Therapist, you will liaise with other health and social care staff from a range of agencies in the care provided to clients and also contribute to meaningful outcomes such as adherence to the number of clinical sessions offered per week and closed cases per month.

Essential
- Talking Therapies Course (Post Graduate Diploma)
- OR equivalent: A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology; a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy - plus further postgraduate qualification training in CBT, AND significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the competences as required
- Accreditation with BABCP (or working towards BABCP accreditation within approx. 6 months)

- Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services
- Demonstrable experience with routine outcome monitoring
- Demonstrable experience of carrying out risk assessments within the scope of practice
- Knowledge/understanding of anxiety and depression, and how they may present in primary care
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health/benefits & employment systems
- Demonstrates an understanding of the need to use evidence-based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships
- Able to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
- Ability to work flexible and unsociable hours as required
- Must be able to visit other locations to meet service requirements
