Job Title: Part-Time Forensic Psychologist - Mental Health Hospital
Location: Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex
Salary: 55,000 per annum (pro-rated for part-time, 2-3 days per week)
Contract Type: Part-time (2-3 days per week)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Forensic Psychologist to join our mental health hospital in Bexhill-on-Sea, supporting a service with 73 individuals. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist psychological assessment, intervention, and treatment within a secure and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and risk evaluations for service users.
Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment plans.
Provide expert consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
Deliver evidence-based interventions for complex mental health and forensic presentations.
Contribute to service development and staff training initiatives.
Maintain accurate, confidential records and reports in line with professional standards.
Requirements:
HCPC registered Psychologist (Forensic or Clinical Psychology with forensic experience).
Demonstrable experience working in mental health or forensic settings.
Strong understanding of risk assessment, management, and rehabilitation in forensic mental health.
Excellent communication, report writing, and team-working skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
