Our client, a leading national children s charity, is seeking several qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join their dynamic and compassionate team.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering mental health support programme in educational settings, working directly with children, young people, school staff and parents/ carers to promote emotional wellbeing and early intervention.
About the Role
As an EMHP, you will deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working closely with families, school staff, and other professionals.
You ll also contribute to whole-school approaches to mental health, provide workshops, and help shape supportive environments where every child can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering outcome focused, evidenced based interventions in education settings for children and young people (aged 5-18) experiencing mild to moderate emotional well-being and mental health issues
- Working collaboratively with school staff and other professionals to support mental health initiatives and to ensure better access to mental health support
- Supporting whole-school approaches through training, psychoeducation, and workshops
- Contributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of the programme
- Working in partnership with children, young people, parents/carers, families and educators in supporting the self-management of presenting issues
Essential Requirements for the role:
- Qualified as an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Children s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
- Experienced in working with children and young people
- Confident working in school or educational settings
- Committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and empowering young people
- Able to build trusted relationships with children, families, and professionals
