Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with experience in assessing and supporting children, adolescents and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions. The successful candidate will provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and/or adults presenting with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities, and related neurodevelopmental differences. The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care, and evidence-based assessments that promote positive outcomes for clients, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, emotional, and neurodevelopmental evaluations.
  • Undertake diagnostic assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions, including ASD and ADHD, using recognised diagnostic assessment tools and clinical guidelines
  • Gather and interpret information from clinical interviews, observations, psychometric assessment, schools, carers, and other professionals.
  • Formulate diagnostic opinions and contribute to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions and therapeutic support.
  • Produce clear, accurate and timely clinical reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional, ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case consultations and safeguarding processes.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities.
  • Keep up to date with current research, legislation, and best practice relating to neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Supervise assistant psychologists, trainees, or other staff where appropriate.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy doctorate).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a psychologist.
  • Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
  • Experience working across the lifespan (children, adolescents, and adults)
  • Experience conducting diagnostic assessments using recognised tools (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R, DIVA, QBCheck, Conners, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and best practices relating to neurodevelopmental assessments and interventions.
  • Excellent report-writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Additional training in neuropsychology, autism assessment, ADHD assessment, or specialist therapeutic approaches.
  • Knowledge of educational, occupational, and social care systems supporting neurodivergent individuals.
Working Conditions
  • Combination of clinic based, remote, and home working environments.
  • May involve travel between clinics.
  • Flexible working arrangements may be available.
Salary

Ranges from £150- £200 per hour dependent on experience.
