An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to join a specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) within an inpatient setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for young people presenting with complex emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions for young people.
  • Develop psychological formulations to inform care and treatment planning.
  • Provide consultation and support to multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Undertake risk assessments and contribute to clinical decision-making.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family-based interventions where appropriate.
  • Support service evaluation, audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome measures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Registration with an appropriate professional regulatory body.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in mental health settings.
  • Strong assessment, formulation, and therapeutic skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

The service provides specialist inpatient mental health care for children and adolescents experiencing a range of complex psychological and psychiatric difficulties. Treatment is delivered through a collaborative multidisciplinary model focused on recovery, resilience, and positive outcomes for young people and their families.
