Aspiring Drama Therapist - Learning Assistant Maidenhead
Location: Maidenhead
Start: Immediate
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 3:15pm
Contract: Term-time only


Are you a creative graduate with genuine aspirations to become a Drama Therapist or work within the therapeutic/mental health sector? This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in a supportive educational setting.


We are seeking an Aspiring Drama Therapist to join a school as a Learning Assistant, working closely with children with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.


The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Using creativity, drama, and therapeutic approaches to engage learners

  • Helping to raise attainment, confidence, and emotional regulation

  • Supporting pupils to develop positive aspirations and self belief

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff


The Ideal Candidate:

  • A creative graduate (Drama, Psychology, Creative Therapies or similar)

  • Genuine ambition to pursue a career in drama therapy or child mental health

  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient

  • Passionate about raising attainment and aspirations for vulnerable children

  • Experience with SEN, PDA, or SEMH is desirable but not essential
