Job summary

We are recruiting a part-time (30 hours per week) substantive Band 7 CAMHS Clinicianto join the Adolescent Mental Health Team (AMHT)within ELFT South Bedfordshire CAMHS, based in Luton. This is a community-focused role providing a highly specialist mental health service to children, young people, and their families presenting with complex mental health needs.

As part of the ELFT AMHT, the post holder will deliver comprehensive specialist assessments and formulation-driven treatment packages, offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care for adolescents presenting with a range of complex and high-risk mental health difficulties. You will work collaboratively within a well-established, supportive, and dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure that young people receive the highest standard of care.

We are ideally looking for a Social Worker or Registered Mental Health Nursewho also has a background in therapeutic practice, such as Psychotherapy, Art Therapy, or Family/Systemic Therapy. The successful candidate will be able to provide specialist therapeutic interventions within an adolescent CAMHS setting, tailoring evidence-based approaches to meet the needs of young people with complex mental health difficulties and supporting their families.

Main duties of the job

Working as a care coordinatorwithin ELFT AMHT, you will hold a defined caseload and provide both direct clinical work and care coordination, ensuring safe and effective care planning, risk management, and multi-agency liaison. The post offers opportunities to contribute to service development, engage in reflective practice, and deliver specialist therapeutic interventions aligned with ELFT's commitment to high-quality, person-centred, and recovery-focused care.

The AMHT is a well-functioning multi-disciplinary team within South Bedfordshire CAMHS. The team includesPsychiatrists, Mental Health Nurses, a Systemic Family Therapist, a Clinical Psychologist, an OccupationalTherapist, and a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist.The team model includes both joint and individual work with young people and their families. We offer arange of interventions, including:- Therapeutic care coordination- Systemic family therapy- Individual therapy (CBT, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, narrative therapy)- Psychiatric assessment and management
