Association for Solution-Focussed Hypnotherapy (AfSFH)

Our goal is to provide support to our members, but also to inform the public about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and provide them with a register of approved Solution Focused Hypnotherapists.

We're proud to provide the public with the only dedicated register for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists, and all our listed members must be appropriately qualified and insured and abide by our Code of Conduct and professional standards.

As a professional governing body, we set and monitor standards to ensure all our therapists adhere to the hallmarks of best practice.

All AfSFH registered members are required to engage in at least 21 hours of additional professional development activities per year, including undertaking regular supervision and further training as part of their continuous professional development.

The AfSFH is a registered member of UKCHO, the UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations.

UKCHO were instrumental in pushing for government recognition and regulation for Hypnotherapy practitioners, leading to the official entry of Hypnotherapy as a discipline with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). As a registered member of UKCHO, the AfSFH are required to set out numerous professional standards and codes of conduct, to which our members must adhere.

The AfSFH has also been an official verifying organisation for joining the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) over the past few years. The CNHC was set up by the government for listing verified complementary therapists and is an official holder of an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority, accountable to Parliament. As a verifying organisation, we're able to offer qualified members fast-track application to the CNHC, and those interested in joining can find further details and information about the CNHC here.
