  <p><strong>We're looking to recruit a Senior Peer Support Worker to join our team to support other Peer Support Workers, team members and service users.</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>This vacancy is open to existing Oxford Health Peer Support Workers and people with experience of working in a peer support role in another organisation.</strong></em></p>
<p>Peer Support Workers (PSW's) are people who have their own lived experience of mental health challenges. They use empathy informed by their own experiences to support service users who are accessing mental health services and their families.</p>
<p>This part time vacancy is for a position within our new South Oxfordshire Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT). You will be based at the Wantage Keystone hub and covering the Didcot area.</p>
<p>PCMHTs are comprised of professionals from health and social care including mental health professionals from the NHS, the third-sector and people who have experienced mental health challenges themselves.</p>
<p>Each PCMHT has one or more Keystone Hubs - developed to provide more specialist care at local level via their GP surgery, and improved communication between GPs and mental health services and form a core of the strengthening of community mental health services in Oxfordshire.</p>
<p>Oxford Health offer the Peer Support Training programme as a nationally recognised accredited Level 3 Apprenticeship (fully funded by Oxford Health) this is completed over a period of 15-19 months depending on whether a Peer Support Worker works part time or full time (22.5-37.5 hours).</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Senior Peer Support Worker will be responsible for supporting the current PSWs to successfully embed the role within the clinical area, to support with their caseloads and to offer mentoring around using their lived experience to support others. This is in addition to, providing support with individual service users and leading or co-leading groups.</p>
<p><strong>Lived experience: </strong></p>

<li>Drawing on lived experience of mental health to provide emotional and practical support to an allocated group of service users to promote their recovery.</li>
<li>Experience in delivering peer support and have a clear understanding of the peer support model within the NHS</li>

  <p>The CRS is a specialist mental health team working with service users with a primary diagnosis of psychosis who have complex needs including drug and alcohol misuse. Service users under CRS require an intensive level of support to ensure their recovery; some have a history of difficulty forming relationships with mental health services/professionals and may have had multiple admissions to hospital. You will work in partnership with a diverse team of clinicians and support staff including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Nurses and our third sector partners. </p> <p>In line with our Trust value of 'People First', evidence shows that people who are treated in community and in the least restrictive manner, have better outcomes. In this role you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, to help us provide this opportunity for our service users in line with national agendas of The Getting It Right First Time a whole system approach to recovery from mental ill health, maximising an individual's quality of life and social inclusion.</p> <p>You will be working under the guidance of a qualified professional in the team and there will mentoring and support available from more experienced peer workers within the Trust.   <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our acute mental health teams at our site at Kingfisher Court, Radlett. This is an exciting opportunity due to the opening of a new acute assessment ward.</p> <p>The postholder will provide occupational therapy expertise within the multi-disciplinary team, including specialist assessment, individual, and group work intervention. They will have a leadership &amp; supervisory role in the OT team.   <p>We are pleased to invite applications to join the Training Team at National Imaging Academy Wales (NIAW). NIAW are looking for keen Sonographers Trainer to support the delivery of high-quality Radiology and Radiographic training.</p>
<p>The bank worker will work within the multidisciplinary NIAW team to deliver clinical ultrasound training, clinical supervision, undertake competency assessments and/or deliver simulation support at the NIAW. The bank worker will work with the team to support the delivery of the NIAW 3-year strategy.</p>
<p>NIAW is a state-of-the-art facility with a primary function of providing high quality training to the imaging workforce across Wales. The facility includes a 100-seat lecture theatre, two workstation classrooms, three ultrasound suites and ultrasound simulation room, all with dedicated state of the art, audio-visual equipment.</p>
<p>In addition to supporting training for a variety of professions, the Academy hosts corporate and CPD events, supports with the development of training courses for the Radiology workforce and acts as a natural hub for innovation and research within Radiology.</p>

We have an attractive relocation package for applicants looking to move to Cornwall to work in service.</p> <p>Applicants must have completed PWP training from an accredited Low Intensity course, have experience working in the stepped care model delivering Low Intensity Psychological Interventions to patients experiencing mild to moderate common mental health difficulties and have PWP registration. We will also accept applications from candidates expecting to complete their PWP training within the next 3 months.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a PWP you play an integral part in the everyday workings of the service, from promotional work to assessing patients to providing clinical evidence-based interventions to help service users make lasting changes in managing their mental health.</p> <p>Post holders will be completing clinical contacts 1:1 face to face, over the telephone, video consultation, group courses (remotely and in person) and CBT. Where needed, holding discussions with step 3 and/or step 4 clinicians to ensure step ups and safe onward referrals are completed and that patient dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times. There will also be opportunities for community outreach work to promote the work we do to other services, educational settings and careers events.</p> <p>The post-holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. The post-holder will be required to work at any times between 8am and 8pm on weekdays, as required by the service. The post-holder will also be required to participate in evening clinics offered by the service between 5pm and 8pm.</p> <p>Alongside LI and HI CBT, the service offers Counselling for Depression, Couples Therapy for Depression, Mindfulness based CBT, IPT and EMDR. We are currently establishing good links with our Primary Care Networks and Secondary Care Mental Health Teams.</p>
