The role of Activity Coordinator / Healthcare Assistant involves working a rotational shift pattern, including day and night shifts, weekends and bank holidays as required. The role includes supporting the multidisciplinary team's assessment, planning and delivery of care needs of young people who have been admitted to the adolescent in- patient mental health unit. The role includes carrying out assigned tasks involving direct care under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse. This may involve working on a one-to-one basis with young people to maintain their safety. As part of a team, and under direct or indirect supervision, the Activity Coordinator will provide high quality mental and physical health care to young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties and their families. The post holder will also assist in service and best practice developments, contributing to the evaluation of programmes of care by reporting to the clinical supervisor, registered nurse or other members of the multidisciplinary team as appropriate.</p>

  <p>We have an exciting opportunity for<strong>two</strong> full time, permanent, band 7 clinical or counselling psychologists to join Barts Heart and Thorax Centre Psychological Services based at St Bartholomew's Hospital.</p> <p>The successful applicant will join a friendly and supportive group of psychological professionals at St Bartholomew's Hospital including practitioner psychologists and an art therapist. You will be able to access funded CPD and receive specialist group supervision (e.g. ACT, CFT, Narrative therapy and EMDR) alongside individual supervision.</p> <p>We operate within a mixed model, i.e. embedded within medical teams with centralised referral allocation and discussion so that workload can be shared evenly between clinicians and allocated according to skill mix and case complexity. The band 7 postholder will pick up referrals from specialist teams across the Barts Heart Centre and will work closely with the clinical pathway leads as well as the consultant service lead, allowing for a good balance of autonomy and support in line with their stage in career development.   <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our acute mental health teams at our site at Kingfisher Court, Radlett. This is an exciting opportunity due to the opening of a new acute assessment ward.</p> <p>The postholder will provide occupational therapy expertise within the multi-disciplinary team, including specialist assessment, individual, and group work intervention. They will have a leadership &amp; supervisory role in the OT team. The teams consist of occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, arts therapists, a horticulturalist, psychologists as well as a full MDT.</p> <p>There are regular opportunities to network with other OTs to share ideas and good practice, engage in CPD and funded external courses including Masters or PGDip level study in a variety of specialties such as Sensory Integration, Trauma Informed Care &amp; Reducing Restrictive Practice.</p> <p>Robust supervision from the Band 7 and 8 OTs with growth opportunities will support the post-holder to develop as a Band 6 level using a bespoke training package.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 7 Prosthetist to join the NHS prosthetic service based in Rookwood Hospital, Cardiff. This role involves delivering a high quality prosthetic service across both adult and paediatric caseloads including those with complex needs. The successful candidate will also provide a highly specialised service for war veterans, utilising advanced techniques and state of the art prosthetics.</p>
<p>The Prosthetic and Amputee Rehabilation Centre ( PARC) in Cardiff provides care and support for approximately 1700 users. The service provides individualised assessment, the issue, maintenance and repair of prosthetic devices and ongoing clinical patient care. The prosthetic team currently consists of 9 Prosthetists and 11 technical staff offering a clinical service to a large and varied caseload supported by a full multidisciplinary team. The multidisciplinary team consist of consultants, prosthetists, psychologists, physiotherapists, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, admin and technical support, all working together in a patient focussed service. The prosthetic clinical service is supported by onsite manufacture by a highly skilled technical workforce.</p>

  <p> To deliver a high-class prosthetic service for an adult and paediatric caseload, including those with complex needs and provide a highly specialised prosthetic service for war veterans utilising advanced techniques and state of the art prostheses. </p> <p> To assist in the clinical and managerial leadership of the prosthetist team and with the development and implementation of clinically effective and efficient prosthetic service protocols and policies. </p> <p> To undertake highly specialised prosthetic assessment and treatment of patients with a wide variety of routine and highly complex needs. </p> <p> To assist the Clinical Lead Prosthetist in providing clinical leadership and supervision to prosthetists and prosthetic technicians. </p> <p>To assist the Orthotic and Prosthetic Services Manager and Clinical Lead Prosthetist in the strategic development of efficient and effective evidence based Prosthetic Services within the Health Board.</p>
