  <p>The Mental Health Support Team are currently recruiting for 2 Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP/EWP/CWP) to work with our Richmond schools.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (MHSTs) are an exciting development, located in schools and AFC offices. We provide a whole school approach to mental health; including individual and group work with students and parents, staff training and consultation and policy and ethos advice.</p><ul><li>The team is part of the broader Emotional Health Service (EHS) and links closely with AFCs other education and social care teams.</li> <li>Our service covers Richmond and Kingston boroughs. We have a strong sense of team and collaboration to support children and young peoples emotional wellbeing to achieve positive outcomes.</li> <li>The MHST is a dynamic service of Counselling &amp; Educational Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Dramatherapists, Dance &amp; Movement Psychotherapists, Music Therapists, Art Therapists, Systemic Practitioners, Counsellors, Education Wellbeing Practitioners (EWPs) and Child Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs).</li> <li>The post holder will also be part of a team of clinicians who can provide access to clinical supervision, peer supervision, line management</li></ul>

This is designed to support teaching staff to build their skills and confidence in supporting the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils. This is offered in both a formal and informal way.</li>  <li>Undertake direct assessments and intervention for young people within education. We offer a low intensity service model, predominantly using cognitive-behavioural therapy.</li> </ol> <p>Each function accounts for a third of the team's workload.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.   <p>As a member of a specialist Psychological Therapies team, you will work closely with colleagues in our CMHT and in-patient teams as well as the newly develop Primary Care Community Mental Health Hubs. You will also liaise with and support psychological therapists working at earlier steps in the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway. You will work with the Clinical Lead, Locality Leads, Team Manager and your team to ensure that the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway achieves its key objectives of delivering integrated, safe, accessible, responsive, effective and caring services to people in Buckinghamshire.</p> <p>You will provide psychological assessments and interventions for adults with severe and/or complex mental health problems, their families and carers. You will provide supervision and management support to other psychological therapists and consultation and guidance to our colleagues in the CMHT. You will have excellent communication skills and will participate in multidisciplinary risk assessment, formulation and care planning. You should be able to demonstrate your experience, skills and qualifications in evidence-based approaches in specialist adult mental health settings, this may include for example CBT or third wave approaches / Schema Therapy / EMDR / DBT / MBT / CAT.
