<h2><strong>Why volunteer as a counsellor?&nbsp;</strong></h2><p>We offer a range of volunteering opportunities, including placements as part of counselling training, opportunities to develop new skills and experience post-qualification, or for experienced counsellors wanting simply to 'give something back' to the community. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>​We welcome volunteer counsellors who have completed the academic part of their training, but who need to acquire additional clients hours to qualify. However, we do ask for a minimum commitment of 50 client hours as a volunteer, irrespective of how many client hours are needed to qualify. &nbsp;</p><h3>We offer</h3><ul><li><em>Monthly online group supervision to volunteers, including trainees on a placement.</em></li><li><em>Mentoring support with an experienced qualified counsellor</em></li><li><em>Financial support for supervision for qualified volunteer counsellors, and </em></li><li><em>Reimbursement of their reasonable travel costs</em></li><li><em>Access to free training/CPD events &nbsp;</em></li></ul>
