Simply Education is recruiting on behalf of an exciting new specialist education setting opening its doors in January 2027. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to play a key role in shaping a brand-new provision from the very beginning.

This specialist setting will support children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With capacity for 96 students, the school is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every learner is empowered to reach their full potential.

About The Role:

As the Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional wellbeing and psychological development of students. You'll assess individual needs, deliver evidence-based interventions, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and embed Positive Behaviour Support strategies throughout the school.

You'll also provide expert advice, guidance and training to staff and families, helping to create consistent, effective approaches that enable young people to thrive. Whether delivering one-to-one support, leading group interventions or contributing to whole-school wellbeing initiatives, your expertise will have a lasting impact.

What We're Looking For

  • HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with a postgraduate qualification in Psychology.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with Autism and complex needs.
  • Background working in educational, clinical or care settings.
  • Strong experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists.
  • A passion for evidence-based practice, continuous professional development and achieving positive outcomes for young people.

If you're looking to be part of an exciting new specialist provision from its very beginning and make a genuine difference in the lives of young people, we'd love to hear from you.
