<p>Do you want to work in a friendly, committed and established Mental Health service, where your knowledge and skills will be valued? Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act provisions? Are you interested / experienced in providing treatment for women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders? If so, then join the team at Spring Wood Lodge hospital!</p>
<p>This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge. The service has 21 beds across two wards in a locked rehabilitation setting providing treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders. The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will act as a Consultant / Responsible Clinician for patients in this setting. You will have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp; You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing rehabilitation utilising positive behavioural support principles and empowering service users in their recovery.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Spring Wood Lodge is located in the outskirts of Leeds at Guiseley and has close links to NHS services with established care pathways. It has excellent transport links to Bradford, Leeds and is within a short distance of Yorkshire Dales National Park.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.</li>
    <li>Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).</li>
    <li>Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of patients.</li>
    <li>Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.</li>
    <li>Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.</li>
    <li>Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you will:</strong></p>

    <li>Be medically qualified, MRC Psych or equivalent</li>
    <li>Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions</li>
    <li>Have essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health</li>
    <li>Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues</li>
    <li>Have previous Consultant experience in a management role</li>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Your role will be to deliver an innovative, manualised CBT-based intervention, to children and young people who have been screened by their team and shown to require psychological support. This intervention, MICE (Mental Health Intervention for Children with Epilepsy), is designed to improve the treatment of mental health problems in young people with epilepsy and has been shown to be effective in a large-scale research project. </p> <p>It can be delivered by telephone, video conferencing or face to face, and training will be provided. You will be using evidence-based interventions with supervision from the senior clinical psychologist. Children’s Psychological Well-being Practitioner

<h2>Job summary</h2>
   
 
 <p>We
 currently have an opportunity available to join our enthusiastic, motivated
 and friendly team, working in one of the largest cardiac catheter lab suites
 in the UK.</p>
  <p>If
 you wish to pursue a career in Cardiac Radiography we can offer you the
 opportunities needed to develop your existing skill set, and to train to the
 highest level of expertise. Whilst previous cardiac / angiographic experience
 is preferable, full training will be provided.</p>
  <p>The
 department currently has six catheter labs, and we have just completed a
 multi-million pound contract to update all six of our labs to the most
 current technology and state of the art software on the market. We also
 opened our specialist bi-plane paediatric Hybrid lab in April 2019 which
 provides treatment for children with the most complex congenital heart
 problems across the Yorkshire and Humber areas.</p>
  <p>The
 unit is a regional centre for paediatric and adult congenital heart disease
 and a tertiary referral centre for adult coronary intervention.</p>
  <p>There
 will be a commitment to partake in the on call service, as well as extended
 working hours in both areas following supervised training, and the post
 holder must have the ability to transport themselves to the department within
 30 minutes of being called out (i.e. personal transportation) or stay on site

This role will also work closely with out discharge facilitator to help reintegrate our patients into their local community, building support networks outside of the hospital environment.</p>

  <p>The Wellbeing in Mind team has 3 functions:</p> <ol>  <li>Support the development of a whole-school or college approach to wellbeing. This can include, but is not limited to, supporting sites to develop and implement mental health and wellbeing policies, development of resources, supporting campaigns and delivering training, assemblies and PHSE curriculum.</li>  <li>Provide timely advice and consultation to education staff. This is designed to support teaching staff to build their skills and confidence in supporting the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils. This is offered in both a formal and informal way.</li>  <li>Undertake direct assessments and intervention for young people within education.
