<p><strong>As the Practitioner Psychologist, you will:</strong></p>

    <li>Support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the direction and supervison of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensure that the patient is fully engaged in their care pathway.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you will have:</strong></p>

    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology either through the British Psychological Society or a recognised training body, enabling registration with the HCPC as as Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area.</li>
    <li>Competency in psychological assessment and formulation skills and an aptitude for learning new assessment methods.</li>
    <li>Competency with risk assessment, management, and evaluation tools.</li>
    <li>Clinical therapy skills - Experience using different therapeutic approaches to address a range of clinical issues. An awareness of other modalities and how they may be applied to the current service user population.</li>

  <p>This role is based in the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin NHS Talking Therapies Service (IAPT) and it aims to develop the Step 2 service provision within NHS Talking Therapies</p>
<p>In the role you will offer evidence-based practice in guided self-help/low intensity CBT, assessing and treating our local population. Alongside this, you will support access into service for populations that we do not reach effectively, covering the Global Majority and Older Adult (65+) demographics. You will use special knowledge and experience in these areas to help organise, run and Step 2 therapy groups for specific populations, liaising with the 3rd Sector.</p>
<p>You will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and may be called upon to work in various community settings (including GP surgeries and other, 3<em>rd</em> sector, settings) and psychological treatment centres.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity to work within Wirral Mental Health Support Team (MHST) . We have 3 x posts available within the team.</p> <p>The Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner/CYPWP will work with colleagues based across 4 x locations within Wirral, working closely with education settings and professionals supporting children, young people and their families.</p> <p>The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, training, direct work with children and young people and their parents / caregivers and delivering evidence based interventions.</p> <p>We require successful applicants to have professional registration with recognised National Body (BPS, BABCP) OR be able to obtain this within 6 months of start date. Note if the successful applicant does not hold professional registration they will be recruited to a 6 month fixed term contract to allow time for professional registration to be completed. The contract will be amended to permanent once professional registration has been confirmed.</p> <p>This post is full time hours per week.   <p>The post-holder will work within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Mental Health Support Team (Wirral MHST) and provide a range of assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from experienced staff.</p>
<p>Accessing regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis will be an important aspect of the role.</p>
<p>The post-holder will be able to deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.</p>

  <p>The Podiatry Service at Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation NHS Trust (WCHC) has an exciting opportunity for dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic newly/recently qualified podiatrists to join our committed and friendly team. </p> <p>As a newly/recently qualified podiatrist you will be supported by our experienced team of podiatrists, podiatry assistants and admin support staff. Together we will build on the experience and knowledge you have already gained to enable you to safely assess and treat a wide range of complex podiatry conditions for patients with a variety of other clinical needs, including: acute or chronic, neuropathies, chronic diseases, vascular problems, wound management and nail surgery.</p>

  <p>WCHC is an innovative and forward-thinking organisation. We work closely with our local acute Trust to support their high-risk diabetic out-patient clinics and there will be opportunities to shadow and develop your skills in this area. We also manufacture our own insoles using state of the art CAD-CAM technology and pressure mapping technology as well as developing new pathways and services to improve patient experience and outcomes.</p> <p>Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a podiatrist (or on qualification), you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with GPs and other healthcare professionals. Good IT skills are essential as the role requires working across a range of clinical systems. </p> <p>We will provide a fully structured induction programme and weactively support CPD and personal development for all staff and we will provide opportunities to develop within the role.</p> <p>The Podiatry Service is delivered from a number of community clinics, GP practices as well as nursing homes and domiciliary settings across Wirral, therefore you must have access to your own transport for work purposes. </p> <p>Wirral has excellent transport links to North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester, as well as the historic city of Chester. </p>
