In addition to the mental health wards, Thornford Park has a 14-bedded low secure service for male patients with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, commissioned by NHS England, a medium/low secure service for females with a Learning Disability, and a medium secure service for males with Learning Disability.&nbsp; We also have two Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, one for males and one for females, providing holistic assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing crisis.</p>
<p><strong>As the Clinical/Forensic Psychologist, you will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Autonomous in managing your own caseload, which will involve working with complex service-users.</li>
    <li>Attending regular clinical and service development meetings, such as MDT’s, CPA’s, referrals, and other hospital-wide meetings</li>

<p><strong>What you will need:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate in either Clinical or Forensic Psychology or the British Psychological Society’s stage 2 training in Forensic Psychology, enabling registration with the HCPC as as Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area.</li>
    <li>&nbsp;Competency in psychological assessment and formulation skills and an aptitude for learning new assessment methods. </li>
    <li>Competency as regards risk assessment/management tools and formulation.</li>

<p>Working part time 18.75 hours a week alongside the unit's multidisciplinary team, including the Consultant, to ensure that service users receive a holistic and person-centric treatment programme based on the recovery model.</p>

<p>As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park Hospital</p>

  <p><strong>Are you a Psychology graduate with a degree of clinical experience within Mental Health?</strong></p>
<p>We are advertising 2 Assistant Psychology posts to work within our Forensic CAMHs teams. Both roles have different focus of roles and responsibilities, and you are welcome to apply for one or both by indicating this on the form or at interview.</p>
<p>The Youth Justice Liaison and Diversion Team work with children and young people that are involved in offending behaviour or suspected of a criminal offence.</p>
<p>The forensic child and adolescent mental health service (fCAMHS) is a regional specialist service set up to work with young people under 18 in contact with the criminal justice system, or with those that are presenting serious risk of harm to others.</p>
<p>The role is within FCAMHS will support with the delivery of a clinical trial for MBT which is just starting, and also with general support to the FCAMHS team alongside the existing Assistant role. <strong>This role is fixed term 16 months</strong>. Liaison &amp; Diversion is Permanent, on a part time basis.</p>
<p>We are looking for a motivated Assistant Psychologist to help our service delivery and support our ongoing development and the vital work our teams do across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.</p>
<p>Both services already have strong links with other teams across CAMHS, within children's social care, youth justice, education and the voluntary and community sector and there will be opportunities to learn about and be get involved in some way in these teams if desired.</p>
