This service offers 24-hour support, so there are always trained staff on hand to support residents and deal with any problems that might arise. At The Mead we believe that anyone who suffers from mental illness has the opportunity to live life to the full. Each resident has a ‘key worker’ who takes a special interest in their wellbeing, supporting them in what they wish to achieve while living at the home.How you will make a difference:As a Mental Health Support/Recovery&nbsp;Worker, you will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul>	<li>I provide key worker support to a specified number of service users, including one to one individual support and liaison with other mental health agencies on behalf of people who use our services.</li>	<li>I always have the individual’s needs at the forefront, working to the recovery model and using communication, motivation and coaching skills to support the service user to achieve their goals and aspirations.</li>	<li>I develop a rapport with service users based on respect and honesty and work within clear professional boundaries and the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.</li></ul>Essential experience, skills required for this role:<ul>	<li>I have transferable life/work experience to apply to this role.</li>	<li>I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn</li>	<li>I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.</li>	<li>I may also have, experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.</li></ul>Who are we?&nbsp;We’re Rethink Mental Illness, a leading charity provider of mental health services in England. Working Hours: This post is a 27 hour post – Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9am - 5pm.Our Rowan House Service is an intensive support service designed to promote recovery and improve social inclusion for adults with mental illness. It also supports peoples transition back to community living. The service is commissioned and regulated by Wiltshire Council.
