Here at Blue Skies Education we are working in partnership with a very special school that offers education provisions to CYP's (children and young people) with SEMH profiles. The CYP's at this provision do not attend mainstream school as they present behaviours that challenge and they need additional support and care in their school life that cannot be facilitated for in a masintream setting. Often the CYP's at this provision will have a background of trauma, adverse childhood experiences and/or be neuro-divergent eg: ADHD, ASC. We are looking for a behaviour mentor who can do exactly that; mentor, support and inspire these children and teenagers. It's a truly unique opportunity to change the lives of the students you work with and help guide them through some of the most challenging phases in their young lives. Ideally you will be a graduate of a psychology, criminology or creative arts based degree (art, drama, music) as these areas offer real value and experience to support different learning platforms and angles with the students. This position will begin via Blue Skies Education as an agency worker but will present the opportunity for a permanent contract directly with the school if the temporary period is a success for you, the school and the students. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct specialist CBT assessments for individuals with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and OSFED.</li> <li>Deliver evidence-based CBT interventions, including CBT-E (Enhanced CBT for Eating Disorders).</li> <li>Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, dietitians, and social workers.</li> <li>Develop individualised treatment plans tailored to the needs of service users.</li> <li>Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.</li> <li>Provide psychoeducation and support to service users, families, and carers.</li> <li>Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding protocols.</li> <li>Contribute to service development, training, and supervision of junior staff or trainees.</li> <li>Liaise with external agencies, including GPs, community mental health teams, and inpatient services.</li> </ul> Essential Requirements: <ul> <li>Accredited with BABCP (or working towards accreditation).</li> <li>Postgraduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or equivalent.</li> <li>Experience working with individuals with eating disorders in a clinical setting.</li> <li>Strong understanding of CBT-E and NICE guidelines for eating disorders.</li> <li>Excellent risk assessment and safeguarding knowledge.</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with service users and families.</li> </ul>
