  <p>Providing a primary care mental health service, to those adults in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin (STW). The post-holder will work as a member of a locality team within the (STW) Psychological Therapies Service, providing effective evidence-based therapies.</p>
<p>The post holder will be part of an NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) service and will provide high intensity interventions using IAPT approved psychotherapeutic modalities. These may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD), and Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT) as recommended by NICE. The post holder will work with clients who have a range of difficulties including depression and anxiety disorders for which the IAPT modality is demonstrated to be clinically effective.</p>
<p>The service offers a stepped care model to a range of mental health issues using evidenced based, NICE approved approaches. The post-holder will work within the IAPT service providing high intensity interventions, providing a high intensity service to clients with a range of complex problems. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities and equality of access to treatment.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified psychology graduate to contribute to the Dementia Assessment and Support service (DASS) here in Shropshire.</p> <p>This post is for a fixed term of 12 months, full-time. It is anticipated that we will not be able to acquire additional funding for an extension of the post after this time.</p> <p>The post will provide an opportunity to develop clinical skills and competencies working in a specialist service. The post would also be suitable for a graduate with strong research skills who wishes to pivot towards a more clinical role.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post will specifically focus on providing psychologically informed reviews of clients and carers known to our service and additionally, the collation and analysis of significant volumes of complex audit data.</p> <p>Firstly, your working time will be providing a holistic assessment of client and carer needs and drawing on additional team support or signposting to relevant external agencies. <em>This will be intensive work with clearly defined objectives and expectations.</em></p> <p>Additionally, you will undertake a project to collate over a decade of neuropsychological test data relevant to the assessment and diagnosis of clients, summarise this data and produce reports and papers based on the findings.</p> <p>There may also be additional scope for initial history taking and information gathering of clients who are awaiting further assessment within our assessment and diagnosis pathway.</p> <p>Much of your client contact will be telephone or video based. Audit work will require spending considerable time at the clinical base in Shrewsbury.   <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Senior Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Dudley Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We would also welcome applications from newly qualified Psychologists who are seeking a Preceptorship post from Band 7 to 8a.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice. There are opportunities to apply and develop your time-limited psychological skills in CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, CFT, CAT and brief psychodynamic therapy.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We see clients with a range of complex mental health problems including CPTSD, personality disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and moderate/severe presentations of depression and anxiety. We fully invest in the support and wellbeing of our staff. Staff have regular appropriate supervision, reflective practice and access to CPD to support professional growth.</p>  <p>We also provide opportunities in leadership, developing others, developing advanced therapeutic skills, and service/organisational development. </p> <p>As part of Community Transformation, psychological therapies are fully integrated into four Community Mental Health Teams across our four localities (Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall). We work within a strong multi-disciplinary ethos, with very good links with staff from Tier 1, our Recovery College and VCSE partners.</p> <p>The core CMHTs are supported by specialist services which also include psychological therapists: Complex Emotional Needs Service; Eating Disorders; Perinatal Services; 18-25s Transitions Team; Early Intervention in Psychosis; Clinical Health Psychology.</p>  <p>Whilst Operational managers provide our line management, we provide strong professional leadership, clinical supervision and support to all our psychological staff. Psychology is a vital and influential field, represented at every level in our Trust, including the roles of our Chief Therapies Officer, and also our Chief Clinical Information Officer who are both Consultant Clinical Psychologists.</p>
