Service Overview: Our service aims to provide a safe and secure environment for individuals at a crisis point in their mental health. Operating from 6pm every day of the year, our goal is to reduce hospitalizations, dependency on A&amp;E departments and police resources. Utilizing a social model of support, our staff team will employ appropriate de-escalation and support techniques while promoting clients abilities to manage their coping strategies. Key Responsibilities: As a Crisis and Recovery Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to service users in or facing a mental health crisis. You will identify and access opportunities for service users to gain independence and confidence. You will work with service users in a recovery-focused manner, aligned with their support and risk management plans. Collaboration with other professionals to deliver a consistent and coordinated service, maximizing outcomes for service users, is essential. Candidate Requirements: Experience working with individuals with mental health needs is required. A warm personality and the ability to work in a person-centred manner, even in high-stress situations, are crucial. A clean driving licence and access to a car is beneficial. Flexibility to work on a rota basis to meet service needs is also expected. This position is part time 14 hours a week. Creative Support are looking to recruit a support worker who is experienced in working in with people who have mental health support needs, for our Gateshead based service. You will be working with an outcome-focused floating support team for people over the age of 18 who are experiencing homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness and have housing related support needs. The service is commissioned by Gateshead Council and will provide a time-limited support service from an office in Gateshead. The service will work with individuals with complex and often chaotic lives to provide a range of support options, including: -Support in people's own homes -Drop-in sessions and activities/courses at our office -Signposting services to ensure people have the support they need to find and maintain tenancies in the local community. You will manage a case-load and provide direct support to service users in accordance with their holistic support plans. As a recovery worker you will support service users who have complex and multiple needs, taking a multi-agency approach that ensures people have access to appropriate services that meet those needs. You will work with service users who require longer term support with the aim of stabilising their lives through supporting them in developing the necessary skills and confidence for finding and managing a tenancy. You will promote inclusion, independence and wellbeing with the aim of enabling service users to become active and productive citizens. You will support service users by providing one-off interventions and longer term support, devising clear exit strategies that take into account opportunities to build resilience, local connections and knowledge of local service provision. Support will focus on the following areas; -Resettlement &amp; tenancy sustainment -Prevention of tenancy failure or homelessness -Maximised income -Financial management and resilience -Meaningful activity including; volunteering, training and employment -Improved health and wellbeing including; smoking cessation, reduction in alcohol consumption and substance misuse, increased physical activity, improved diet and greater engagement with primary and specialist health care services -Improved engagement with probation and rehabilitation services, and criminal justice agencies -Improved self-reported quality of life and self-reliance -Improved connections to local community activities and leisure opportunities. Recovery Support Worker

Apricus Resourcing are looking for a Housing Recovery Support Worker for an ongoing locum role based within a charity in Crewe. Within this role you will provide Housing Related Support and recovery support people who have a history of failed accommodation placement, substance and/or alcohol misuse, criminality and often challenging and negative behaviours. Part of your role will include advocating for residents where appropriate, helping residents arrange and attend scheduled appointments, for example, GP, Probation, Job Centre and substance misuse services. The manager is looking for candidates who have experience in working within substance misuse and/or housing if you have experience in one of these areas you will still be considered as training &amp; support can be offered to the right candidates. Experience in supported housing would also be highly advantageous as would understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with rough sleeping, homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse and offending in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employability and personal relationships. Due to the nature of the role the service can only consider candidates who are car drivers and have access to their own vehicle as there may be an element of driving from time to time (expenses will be covered). The rate of pay for this role is between £16.45 - £17.01/h LTD or £14.40 PAYE and is based on a rolling 8-week basis with a view to extend or potentially go permanent. The working hours are either 9-5 or 10-6pm.
