  <p>The CYP Eating Disorders Day Hospital Service is currently mobilising. This specialist provision delivers intensive, evidence-based care to children &amp; young people experiencing moderate to severe eating disorders. This innovative service aims to bridge the gap between inpatient and community care, offering a safe and structured alternative to Tier 4 admission &amp; facilitating earlier discharge from hospital settings.</p> <p>Operating through a MDT working collaboratively to provide holistic, person-centred care, each professional brings their expertise to support physical health monitoring, nutritional rehabilitation, psychosocial interventions &amp; occupational engagement, all tailored to the unique needs of each young person &amp; their family.</p> <ul>  <li><strong>In-reach and Outreach support</strong> to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions &amp; reduce relapse.</li>  <li><strong>Intensive day hospital interventions</strong> focused on recovery, risk management, &amp; re-engagement with daily life.</li>  <li><strong>Meal support and psychoeducation</strong> for young people &amp; their families, promoting sustainable recovery at home.</li>  <li><strong>Multidisciplinary care planning and supervision</strong>, ensuring continuity &amp; quality of care across settings.</li>  <li><strong>Training and consultation</strong> to professionals and carers, enhancing system-wide understanding and support for eating disorders. </li> </ul>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>To provide specialist occupational therapy service to children &amp; young people with eating disorders.</li>  <li>To undertake comprehensive assessments of each patients needs to formulate individualised management &amp; treatment plans.</li>  <li>To provide specialist advice to patients with eating disorders deemed to be a high physical risk.   <p>Band 7 0.5 wte (2.5 days) 18.75 hours part time permanent post</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychotherapist to join our established adult community Eating Disorders Team.</p> <p>The post is a permanent. You will be joining an experienced and welcoming Multidisciplinary Team which highly values psychotherapeutic work.</p> <p>We are very keen to attract the right candidates and consider locality working. This role will involve remote working/hybrid working options however there will be a requirement to work from the office on certain days to meet the needs of the service.</p> <p>Shortlisting for this vacancy is due commence on 8th January 2026 and the proposed interview date is 22nd January 2026</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Providing talking therapies to clients with Eating Disorders, providing supervision/training to other staff and acting as a part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. They will carry a caseload of complex clients and be expected to be an important contributor in the team management of the most complex clients who present to the service.</p> <p>The successful candidate will undertake direct clinical work, supervision, consultation and contribute to teaching and service development as well as helping to consult and guide on client's psychological care, from a trauma informed perspective. The team are trained in different therapy models including CBT, CAT, EMDR and integrative therapy and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake further training.</p> <p>Previous experience of eating disorders is necessary. You will be provided with professional and clinical supervision, and there will be multiple opportunities to develop your specialist clinical skills. There are opportunities to link with other Practitioners working in the eating disorder community and inpatient services across the Trust, and more widely across other services</p>
