Join Rhodes Wood Hospital, a supportive and experienced team as a Consultant Psychiatrist within our Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CYPMHS), providing specialist care for young people aged 12 to 18 with eating disorders. <p>As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will review referrals, conduct admission assessments, and ensure effective management plans are in place. <p>Are you ready to deliver exceptional psychiatric care in a clinical setting? Join our dedicated team at St Neots as the Associate Specialist Doctor and play a key role in providing high-quality care to service users with complex mental health needs.</p>
<p>Working under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will undertake psychiatric and external assessments for service users referred to the unit, ensuring the appropriate level of care is provided. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive Care Programmes tailored to individual needs.</p>
<p>Your responsibilities will include preparing discharge summaries, reports and documentation for CPA meetings, as well as First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearings. You will arrange and review clinical tests and investigations, take responsibility for chasing results and act promptly on findings. Supporting physical health care is a vital part of the role, including sharing responsibility for bloods and ECGs with the site phlebotomist, and ensuring ward staff carry out physical observations in line with medical instructions.</p>

  <p>Are you passionate about making a real impact in healthcare through compassionate, patient-centred care? We're seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to develop the speech and language therapy provision with the adult acute mental health inpatient wards. This new role offers the opportunity to shape patient care, lead on establishing the role of SLT, influence policy, and promote the use of least restrictive practice, supporting people on our wards.</p>
<p>This newly funded positionwill form an integral part of the MDT team, led by the Head of AHPs, working alongside a therapy team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapy, Arts Therapists, Assistant Therapy Practitioners and Psychologists. The post holder will work across the two Assessment and Short term treatment wards, both based at Kingfisher court.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As part of the ward based team you will provide expert clinical guidance, especially for people with highly complex needs and those requiring specialist Speech and Language therapy assessments and interventions. You will be supported by the rest of the MDT, especially by the Occupational Therapists within the ward. The post holder will offer the core Speech and Language therapy assessments and interventions, as well as proving advice for the MDT on SLT treatment plans and outcomes of assessments. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of transforming our in-patient services across the Trust using person centred, recovery based, trauma informed care to provide the least restrictive interventions.</p>
<p>The role offers the opportunity to develop managerial and leadership skills whilst delivering specialist clinical interventions for people admitted to the adult acute mental health wards.   <p>The three core functions of a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) are:</p>

<li>Supporting the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce, develop and deliver the whole school/college approach.</li>

  <p>We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our dynamic Diabetes Psychology Team (30 hours per week).</p> <p>If you are an enthusiastic and motivated clinician with experience in working with people with diabetes or Long-Term Conditions (LTC), and you are passionate about delivering evidence-based psychological interventions and service development, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within a multidisciplinary team and be involved in a key service development project. Regular supervision will be provided.</p> <p>The post holder will be responsible for delivering a specialist psychology service to patients living with Type 2 diabetes in Well Street Common PCN and Hackney Marshes PCN.</p> <p>Your work within the Diabetes Psychology team will be central to improving patient engagement, self-management, and overall outcomes, with a specific focus on addressing health inequalities. This includes identifying and working with patients who struggle to attend appointments, as well as providing one-to-one and group-based support for individuals struggling with diabetes related distress.   <p>NCEL CAMHS Home Treatment Team (HTT) provides a community based intensive provision as an alternative to in-patient care for children and young people. HTT service operates within the NHS Long Term Plan and NCEL objectives, focusing on improving access, reducing hospital admissions, and ensuring timely, community-based support for mental health needs. This specification is aligned with the recommendations outlined in the NHS England Guidance (2024) "Urgent and Emergency Mental Health Care for Children and Young People: National Implementation Guidance."HTT offers intensive, short-term interventions designed to stabilise the individual and their family environment, promoting recovery and preventing the need for inpatient care. The service ensures that care is delivered close to home, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions, and promoting recovery through tailored evidence-based interventions. The service operates under the governance of the NCEL Provider Collaborative.Following the temporary closure of Simmons House CAMHS inpatient service, as part of interim plans, North Central London (NCL) CAMHS HTT will enhance its current service provision to support alternative treatment pathways for young people.</p>    <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>Contribute to the strategic development, planning and organization of the Crisis Pathway as a member of the senior leadership team, in line with local strategies and national priorities, working in partnership with a range of agencies and other senior management.</li>
<li>Provide clinical and professional supervision for psychological therapist within the service and oversee the leadership of psychological therapists within the pathway.</li>
<li>To provide highly specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals.</li>
<li>To contribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care as well as delivering direct therapeutic interventions to young people and their families.</li>
<li>To lead and develop psychologically informed provision across the NCL HTT including reflective practice, group supervision, and other ways of working.</li>
<li>To work collaboratively with staff and service users, including via co-production to support service development.</li>
<li>To provide teaching, workshops and training internally as needed.</li>
