Join Rhodes Wood Hospital, a supportive and experienced team as a Consultant Psychiatrist within our Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CYPMHS), providing specialist care for young people aged 12 to 18 with eating disorders. You will work in a service that delivers evidence-based, individualised treatment programmes designed to meet each young person’s unique needs.</p>
<p>As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will review referrals, conduct admission assessments, and ensure effective management plans are in place. <p>Are you ready to deliver exceptional psychiatric care in a clinical setting? Join our dedicated team at St Neots as the Associate Specialist Doctor and play a key role in providing high-quality care to service users with complex mental health needs.</p>
<p>Working under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will undertake psychiatric and external assessments for service users referred to the unit, ensuring the appropriate level of care is provided. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive Care Programmes tailored to individual needs.</p>
<p>Your responsibilities will include preparing discharge summaries, reports and documentation for CPA meetings, as well as First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearings. You will arrange and review clinical tests and investigations, take responsibility for chasing results and act promptly on findings. Supporting physical health care is a vital part of the role, including sharing responsibility for bloods and ECGs with the site phlebotomist, and ensuring ward staff carry out physical observations in line with medical instructions.</p>

  <p>The post holder will work as a <strong>Specialist CAMHS Mental Health Nurse (Band 7)</strong> within the <strong>Adolescent Mental Health Team (AMHT)</strong> based in South Bedfordshire - Luton.</p>
<p>The role involves delivering specialist mental health assessments, interventions, and care coordination for adolescents, presenting with complex and high-risk mental health needs, including first-episode psychosis, severe depression, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and trauma-related difficulties.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will act as a <strong>Care Coordinator</strong> within the <strong>Care Programme Approach (CPA)</strong> framework, working collaboratively within a <strong>multidisciplinary team (MDT)</strong> that includes psychiatry, psychology, social work, and occupational therapy.</p>
<p>They will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care, ensuring the involvement of young people and families throughout the therapeutic process, and will uphold the Trust's values of <strong>We Care, We Respect, We Are Inclusive.</strong></p>
