Also suitable for 8a psychologists wanting to move from current post and develop skills in a CLDT. This multi-disciplinary, community service serves the Walsall area.</p> <p>Walsall CLDT is supportive, forward-thinking &amp; committed to improving patient care. It serves people with a learning disability experiencing significant mental health needs and/or displaying significant behavioural distress. It is part of a stepped care whole-pathway model linking with the IST, FCT, A&amp;T Inpatient services &amp; local Commissioning services.</p> <p>There are likely to be opportunities to work across the division, linking in to our community based services. You may on the rare occasion be asked to support one of those services should the need arise.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The team provides a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of people experiencing complex behavioural and/or emotional distress.</p>
<p>Guided by recovery principles, the team maintains close liaison and pathways with a range of existing and specialist mental health community teams, social support accommodation services and social care agencies across the Walsall area in order to ensure that people with a learning disability and mental health and/or behavioural distress needs are also well supported by the full range of services and opportunities that meet their whole life person centred needs and aspirations.</p>

  <p>The post-holder will be part of a team committed to MDT working with people with a learning disability. They will bring experience combining the best of evidence based clinical assessment &amp; formulation with integrative, client centred, therapeutic interventions.</p> <p>They will be skilled in both individual and group work adapted to match the different intellectual &amp; emotional abilities within the client group. They will have experience and skills to oversee the performance and development of existing psychological pathways, such as Trauma, PBS and Dementia.</p> <p>There are opportunities to develop new and existing group programmes. The post-holder support in training/supervising others, including practitioners &amp; trainees working within the team at different times.</p> <p>Psychologists throughout services across BCHFT have good links with the full range of Doctoral Psychology courses at the Universities of Birmingham, Coventry and Warwick and Wolverhampton.</p> <p>Key staff are closely involved with Research and Innovation. CPD and supervision for all grades of staff is highly valued. Remote ADHD Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Trusted Relationships Service has grown from strength to strength since the original Home Office funding in 2018. We have now secured 3 more year of funding and we are looking for two enthusiastic, independent, clinicians to come and work alongside our other 8 clinicians, for 2 days a week.</p>
<p>This is non-case holding post, clinicians do not have any direct patient contact.</p>
<p>Instead, you will work with Police and Social care staff to support their work safeguarding children who are at risk of extrafamilial abuse and exploitation. Based within the Complex Safeguarding teams, across Greater Manchester, the Trusted Relationships clinicians work with staff to facilitate psychological awareness, particularly in relation to trauma, by offering case-based consultation, staff support and bespoke-training.</p>
<p>The Trusted Relationships Service is a team within the GM Resilience Hub, and consequently clinicians have access to a range of expertise and CPD opportunities.</p>

<p><strong>What you will be doing</strong></p>
<p>You will work 37.5 hours a week as the Senior Psychologist for a service that offers (Neuro-Forensic Acquired Brain Injury rehabilitation for adult males).</p>
<p>In collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and under the direction and supervision of the Joint Heads of Psychology, you will support the delivery of psychology services across St Mary’s Hospital. In the absence of the Joint Heads, you will act as the primary point of contact between the psychology department and the senior management team.</p>
<p>As the Senior Psychologist you will have active participation in multidisciplinary team work, ensuring that our service users are fully engaged in their care pathways. It also includes supporting clinical team efforts through both direct interventions and the facilitation of staff training programmes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new initiatives and ways of working within the service and working in partnership with both internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways for service users.</p>
<p>There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, supervision and CPD, with support from a regional network of Psychologists.</p>
<p><strong>As a Senior Psychologist you will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Providing psychological assessments of patients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological (and neuropsychological) tests, self-report measures, rating scales direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the patient’s care.</li>
    <li>Formulating plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of acquired brain injury and forensic risk designed around the patient’s needs, and employing methods unpinned by relevant evidence-based practice and appropriate conceptual frameworks.</li>

    <li>Acting as psychologist for a ward and/or group of patients as directed by the Joint Heads of Psychology.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful as a Senior Psychologist, you'll have:</strong></p>

    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualifcation in applied psychology (clinical, forensic, counselling) either through the British Psychological Society or a recognised training body, enabling registration with the HCPC as as Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the service population. This can include forensic, neuropsychological rehabilitation, learning difficulty, neurodiversity and complex trauma.</li>
