  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Assistant Psychologist to join our Older Adult Inpatient Psychology team in North Cumbria.The Older People's Inpatient Service in North Cumbria is based at the Carleton Clinic in Carlisle and consists of a 15 bedded Dementia Assessment Unit and a 10 bedded Functional Unit. The post holder will support the psychology team across the two wards in undertaking direct clinical work and audit and service evaluation on the older people wards.The post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team members including Clinical Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nursing Staff, and Psychiatry colleagues. The post holder will have access to regular supervision and CPD.The post is based in Carlisle in North Cumbria, providing easy access to the Lake District, an area of outstanding natural beauty.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder's main duties are to assist qualified psychologists in the delivery of psychological services in the pathway; providing psychological assessment and specific interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, working independently within the limits agreed with the psychology supervisor.</p> <p>The post holder will produce assessment and intervention professional reports.The post holder will support the service in the delivery of training initiatives.The post holder will utilise research skills for audit, literature reviews, service development and other research initiatives within the pathway or wider service.The post holder will receive direct weekly management and clinical supervision from a Consultant or Principal Clinical Psychologist.The post holder will show initiative to work independently to an appropriate level.The post-holder will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.</p>

  <p>Clinical or Forensic Psychologist - Band 7 -(Full Time)</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join an established team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists in the Secure Services for people with Intellectual Disabilities at Brooklands Hospital. The secure services consist of an LD male medium secure and a male and female low secure service and an autism only male low secure service.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible. The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management, and it is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or considerable experience of working with people with Intellectual (learning) disabilities who present considerable risk to others.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The key elements of the role include delivering psychological assessments, developing case/team formulation, running individual and group therapies. The post holder will offer reflective practice, supervision and training (qualified psychologists and non-psychologists), and have opportunities to conduct audit/research. Contributing to and leading on service development projects is an important part of this role. The successful candidate will work closely with others to deliver on service projects and therapies. There is opportunity for personal and service development. Post holders may be required to work flexibly as needed to meet service demands.</p> <p>The psychology department at Brooklands is a well-established and supportive service and the successful applicant will receive support to further develop their skills and knowledge, through good quality supervision and training opportunities.   <p><strong>Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Qualified) - Band 5</strong></p> <p>We are looking to recruit a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join large Talking Therapies Team in Havering. The Step 2 team is made up of a PWP Lead, 3 Senior PWPs, along with qualified and trainee PWPs, Therapy Assistants and Honorary staff. The wider team consists of Counsellors, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, a physical activity co-ordinator, and employment advisors. This is an opportunity for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to develop their career by offering evidence-based low intensity interventions through guided self-help (6-8 sessions) and computerised CBT (SilverCloud). We also value experience or interest of delivering therapy in a group format, and provide opportunities to co-facilitate groups with Step 3 clinicians.</p> <p>Please only apply for this post if you are a newly qualified or an experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, and hold the IAPT specific certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions. Your application will not be considered without this qualification. We also welcome applicants who are nearing the end of their training, looking for their first qualified role as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. We offer a structured preceptorship programme for newly qualified PWPs to ensure a smooth transition into the role and to support with developing your confidence and clinical skills.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We have an active outreach team who ensure the service is well-known across the community, by attending events and running psychoeducational workshops. We value PWPs' participation in outreach and encourage contributions towards our Special Interest Groups (SIGs), such as long term conditions (LTCs), perinatal mental health, and LGBTQI+. In line with our trust values, we are a team that encourages continual professional development (CPD). We offer opportunities to attend training delivered through University College London, such as PWP Supervision and LTCs.</p>
<p>Each PWP is well-supported by daily clinicians on duty, weekly case management supervision, and monthly clinical skills supervision, along with a peer-led reflective space which contributes towards wellbeing. We also offer specific LTC and group supervision.</p>
<p>We have an in-house training programme, consisting of monthly sessions on advanced topics, to aid assessment skills and develop knowledge in areas such as PTSD, Grief, and Health Anxiety. This has proven helpful for newly qualified members of staff, to consolidate their learning post-training. There are also opportunities for team-wide training through external services, and we encourage PWPs' input in identifying further training needs.</p>
  <h3>About us</h3>
  <p><strong>Starting with NELFT</strong>NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.</p> <p><strong>Probationary Period</strong></p> <p>This post will be subject to a probationary period.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The roles will involve providing direct clinical work, consultation, teaching and staff support, supervision, and working collaboratively with other members of the MDT including psychiatry, nursing, arts psychotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.</p>
<p>The role will involve completing specialist assessments, developing complex formulations and designing and delivering individualized therapeutic interventions; as well as facilitating therapeutic groups and engaging in complex systemic work.</p>
<p>There will also be the opportunity to engage in service development projects. The successful post-holders will need be adaptable, creative, to have good communication and team working skills, and to have experience and/or interest in working with people with significant mental health difficulties such as psychosis, who present a significant risk to others.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This post sits within the Children and Young Peoples Learning Disability Service within Mindworks at Surrey and Borders. The Children's LD Service is a Surrey County Wide Service, with 4 bases: Redhill Leatherhead Chertsey and Godalming. This post is being advertised as a development post, however if you have the relevant knowledge and experience for a Band 8a you are also able to apply.</p>
<p>The service is a friendly welcoming and supportive Team, made up of Nurses Psychology Music Therapy and Psychiatry along with Admin colleagues. There is a monthly Business Meeting and twice monthly clinical issues meeting, with a quarterly LD Forum.</p>
<p>The post holder will hold a case load of young people and provide appropriate interventions / support. This will include working with the family/ carers and wider MDT to ensure a consistency of approach. The post holder will also provide regular supervision to the AP based in the geographical area. They will be supported by the Clinical Psychologist in their development. Alongside regular supervision and appraisal with an identified development plan. The post holder will also contribute to the service ASD Pathway and any other pathways that are appropriate.</p>
